Zeena's POV
I extend my right leg out and lean back on my left, to reach my toes. The dull strain in my hamstring only lasted for a good minute, being that I haven't stretched for a while.
I look around me and see Sol doing the same thing as me—that's nothing new. But I didn't even have to turn to my other side to see that Zara was definitely not doing anything productive what so ever.
"Zara, if you expect today to be the 'the start of your fame' then I recommend you actually do something useful." I say with some fresh irritance in my voice. When I didn't get the snarky comeback that I was expecting, I turned around to see that she wasn't even there. I Furrow my eyebrows and look to Sol for answers but before I even ask, I'm interrupted by a glass shattering scream.
I could have sworn I felt my body vibrate from the big ass sound waves and I know my ears were flapping like dumbo for some seconds.
After I put myself back together again, I finally ran to where the murder scene was, with Sol hot on my heels.
We erupt through one of the rooms in the back where both Zara and Peaches were found standing over something. "What happened? We heard a scream!" I ask in a panicked tone, waiting for an explanation.
Peaches sighs and rests her arm on her hip like she's been doing this all day. "Zara found out—" But it was her this time that was interrupted by Zara's scream.
"Oh my!" She temps out again with her hands hovering over her mouth. Peaches tries to start again but was covered by another annoying yelp from this girl.
"Gosh!"
Peaches turns to face Zara and folded her arms with a wide smile that didn't reach her eyes. " Are you done yet?" Her voice coming out narrow, letting her know that she was not playing.
Once she saw that Zara has calmed down, she decided to continue on explaining to us what the big hoopla was about.
"Earlier today I met with Doug about what he should expect tonight and basically he wants an original embodiment of the star y'all are portraying. Because of that, he gave me some extra dough and fabric to make some magic with y'all's costumes." She pointed her head towards the unzipped suitcase that sat on the floor with piles of clothes in it.
Dark fabrics with shiny sequins was what the majority of what I saw. Each piece of clothing was sewn perfectly from the looks of it— and not to mention that it was so stylish to be last minute.
My mouth dropped at how hip and classy the outfits looked and to think that Peaches made them herself ? She had to have had some help from the agency, a boutique, something.
