Zeena Pov

Alright I know that math has never been my strongest subject but I know for a fact that a 7x9 foot stage times 3 adult sized girls squared by hardcore choreography does not equal a great performance.

"So what do you think?" Peaches exclaims with her arms spread out as wide as her little frame would let her.

As of right now we are in one of the company's artist cathedrals which apparently is supposed to be very traditional and historic, in which it would be if we didn't have to perform in it tomorrow night. I honestly don't know how all of us are gonna fit on this itty bitty stage, and dance around the joint like it's impossible for us to end our lives with one wrong step. Like I said, it's cute and all but it's really giving me 8th grade assembly vibes.

"Um...it's very—" I look around the stage one more time to look for the right word to describe the venue.
"—Retro?"

Peaches slaps her arms at her side in dissatisfaction when she hears the ungrateful adjective I used to describe her work. "Look girls, this is the best that I could get. I mean, there was no negotiating with the big guys."

And she did have point. It's almost impossible to sway the controls of this company, yes, but who says that was gonna stop me?

"I know that Peach, but you see how busted up this place looks. We can't go out looking like this."

"You won't and plus it shouldn't matter. People ain't coming here to see the stage, they're coming to see you. And these people have complete control over ya' career ."

"Yeah but—"

"But nothing. Y'all asses need to be grateful to even have a stage to perform on, hell to even be performing. I know y'all think y'all worked hard but y'all didn't even technically make it yet so you have a long ways to go. Now what y'all finna do is turn on some damn music and start practicing because I'll be damned if my group of girls embarrass me in this bitch."  And with that she turned around and jumped off the stage to go sit in the front row; folding her arms expectingly.

Even though this wasn't the first time that Peaches had to snap us up in a situation like this, I still took every word she said as if it was the first time that I heard them. But before I could even react to what she said, a loud clap erupted in the somber cathedral.

"What a wonderful speech." Sly was sitting in the middle section of the audience, I would only know because I don't know any other white boy's hair who gets that big even from far away. Even though his voice was still timid, that has to be the loudest I have heard him speak since We've met.

Speaking of which, over time when working on our music and tracks we kind of bonded in a way. After practice when everybody left we would go on late night McDonald's runs or stay after hours in the studio and camp out with food from the cafe. He literally is slowly turning into like a little brother I guess.
