Michael's POV"Make sure Mike sits in the middle. Are you hungry Michael? Mike, you can see good right? Make sure the lights don't effect Michael's vision."
Sweet Lord, I'm so close to changing my government name, as much as they overuse it. Which I guess I shouldn't complain because, they're just trying to make sure I feel comfortable. But still.
I think back to where me and that poor girl had a moment not too long ago. The poor thing looked like she didn't want to leave but I could tell her embarrassment was starting to get the best of her. Which was oddly cute; even though quite honestly I find everything cute. That might be my problem though, falling for the wolves in sheep clothing.
Gosh, I haven't even properly had a conversation with the girl and I'm already talking about falling. And speaking of which, I've seen and met her. I scroll through the "short" list of events I've attended these past years and I ponder on a party I went to about two years ago. That's right. The Soul Train party where I first saw that girl and her friend dancing. It was so refreshing to see teenagers still boogie down to my older content. Rarely does it ever feel dull.
I try not to think about that time where we all met at the diner here in New York. I was so stand off-ish that I'm pretty sure I came across as rude. They were all so happy to see me and I couldn't even live up to that. All in all I was just in a bad place and they didn't deserve that. Especially her.
Zeena was her name I remember vaguely. I grin a little in curiosity, wanting to know why she was here then. I hope she's not a waitress or anything, that would be unfortunate being that she could dance like that. I doubt that she got an invite so maybe her dad or something is apart of staff. But she could be...
The lights dim some more and an A-cappella set of Oo's feel up the venue. A spot light slowly appears as a white shimmer dress made contact with it. Applause erupted at the sight of my new friend Elizebeth Taylor. I clapped as well, happy to see her on stage.
"I'm very honored to not only celebrate a great entertainer, a talented man, The King, but my close friend, Michael Joseph Jackson." Elizebeth announced making the audience 'awe' in admiration. She looks out onto the crowd, looking for my face and when she does, she blows a kiss out.
She continues to talk as the instrumental version of Off The Wall plays in the background. After shouting out the members of the production team and family and friends, she eventually leaves after introducing the first few acts.
Hall and Oates performed a cover of Human Nature. Guns N Roses did a rock interpretation of Beat It. George Michael sang Baby Be Mine. Ricky Matin Performed Working Day And Night. Paul McCartney sang our Duo, The Girl Is Mine alongside with Huey Lewis.
The sound in the house tonight was great but I just...I don't know.
I felt the chair beside me shift and I turned to see Dawn, the new assistant. She smells like peaches and lavender which is a weird combination but I suppose it ended up working.
