Apollo 19

Chapter 1 - Training

I'm Manuel, I've been working fot NASA for about 16 years now. I'm husband to Jasmine, and Father of 3, Leo, Helena, and Lillith. My team and I have been training for Operation 697 for years now and in just a few days, we will start our journey to Planet 697.

"Took you long enough to get here man, we were about to start without your ass", said McCormick.
"Yeah cuz you guys want to totally start without your best man huh.", I told them in a sarcastic way.
"Lets begin guys."
We all got on the spaceship simulation and began our training, with just a few days before leaving, we were too excited and scared to train properly but still we went on with it. Nobody has done what we are about to do, with this new technology.
"Whatever you do, If you find life, don't keep your guard down. We don't know 100% of there even is life, and if there is, if it's safe.", Said Mrs. White.
"We've trained so long for this White, we will make sure to keep things safe, and get home.", Said Ruiz confidently as he took his helmet off.
"Good. We will have our final brief today at 16:00 hours, don't be late. In the mean time continue on with your training, its very critical that you do.", stated White.
"Alright gentlemen, lets get to work."

"Jackson, its your turn to use the water station"
"Alright man, lets get this over with.", said Jackson as he put on his helmet and got in the shuddle.
"You have roughly 5 minutes to get out before the water gets in and can't get out, this is easy man, you rock this all the time", said ruiz with a grin.
Jackson although a very good swimmer, never did good with the shuddle training since he's alwasy getting shakey and forgets his training.
"Alright, I'm ready. Bring me down", said Jackson with a shakey voice.
On minute 2 Jackson was trying to get out, he was doing great till he forgot what buttons and levers he had to pull.
"Jackson are you good? Its been 4 minutes man, you should be out by now!", I yelled through my earpiece.
"I'm good Manuel, stop fucking rushing me, I know what I'm doing!!", Yelled Jackson in a shakey angry voice.

After 7 minutes we heard nothing from him and saw no progress being made, then out of no where, he began to scream for help, he got stuck in the shuddle.
"PULL HIM OUT. HURRY PULL HIM OUT BEFORE HE DROWNS, HURRY UP!!!", Yelled McCormick as he began to run to the lever to pull the shuddle out of the water.
When we pulled the shuddle out, and opened the shuddle, Jackson was real panicked and scared due to him not being able to get out on time.
"Manuel.. I know white will gind out about this, please vouch for me bro. I NEED to do this mission. I promise I will do everything to do things right." Said Jackson, as McCormick checked up on him to see if he was alright.
  "We've been training for years and you can't do this right. We have to go to the Meeting man. Come on, change out, we'll see you there." I told him as I began to walk away.
