The big reveal

I've had so much physical therapy to help my wings. They have been constantly cleaned, groomed(thanks to Logan, Roman, and Patton), and they looked normal for the most part.

They have still had wrappings on them. I couldn't bear the thought of what they must look like. They are apparently around the size they should be. I just got home after my, hopefully last, doctor's appointment. He said that they were fully healed, all of the feathers have grown in and I could start leaving them unwrapped. He offered to unwrap them there, but I knew I had to wait.

I have grown feelings for Patton, Logan, and Roman. I have never actually been in a relationship before, I always pushed people away. I have no clue what to do, because surely they don't feel the same way
How could anyone love you?
Shut up! They care about me!!!!!

I learned to talk back to the voice. That it's not right.

I'll wait to tell them about how I feel, and hopefully they feel the same way.

Patton's dad told me that all three of them are waiting for me inside.

Once getting in, I was pulled into a big group hug(that happens a lot).

After what felt like years, Patton's dad 'coughing' brought us out of the trance. I never wanted to let go, scared something will happen and that being the last touch I'll ever feel. I already texted them about the news.

We all make our way to the big bathroom that has a mirror that takes up almost the whole wall.
I'm surrounded by them, Patton noticing my shaking has grabbed my hand and squeezed.

There we stood, I looked so much better, more alive. I still rocked my makeup and clothing, but my pale skin had more coloring, healthier hair, bigger(though I was still the smallest).

"Wait! Before we see Virgil's fully healed wings, I thought I would show that picture I drew months ago!"

Patton explained the story quickly, when he noticed everyone's (besides Virgil's) confused stare. He then pulled out the picture itself, it had taken residence in a frame next to my bed.

Patton telling me something about thinking more positive about my wings.

Patton put it so that it was in front of us.

I wished my wings looked like they did in Patton's drawing. I knew it was majorly unlikely, but Patton's drawing was absolutely beautiful.

While my wings were healing, I had to keep them covered because of infection, sensitivity, all that jazz. Roman came up with the idea, since I absolutely refused to see my wings until fully healed, that we all wait. Patton loved the idea and made it that he could groom my wings without looking at them. Logan thought that it was stupid, but could not say no to Patton.

Somehow we were all touching, Patton had one hand, Roman had the other one, and Logan had his hands on my shoulders, messaging the muscles around my wings, that helped greatly with relaxing them.

Patton's dad carefully unwrapped them and everyone fell silent.

Because the wings looked just like they did in Patton's drawing.

Though the drawing didn't do them justice.

They started as black and then gradually went from different shades of purple till it ended with white. They looked shimmery in the bathroom light.

Patton then started to gush about how beautiful they are, Roman then joined in. Patton's dad gave me a smile, then left the bathroom. Logan too have me complements on my wings.

"We need a group picture!" Squealed Patton
"Yes! We need to capture this fantastic moment to look back at in the future!" Roman exclaimed.

So Patton got his father and we took multiple pictures. Patton's parents then took us out to celebrate (it's the weekend and sleep over)

It wasn't until later that night that the question on top of our minds was brought up by none other than Logan.

"Patton, how did you know what Virgil's wings would look like?"
"I had a dream."
Logan looked at him skeptically
I knew it was true, Patton told me when he showed me the drawing.
"It hasn't been the first time it's happened."
"What do you mean Patton?" Roman asked
"Well I had one about you guys before I met you all."
Everyone fell into silence, besides Logan muttering "I see"

"I mean my grandmother also had dreams like that..." Patton trailed off, looking down.

He was hiding something

"And?" Logan asked, skeptical about what Patton was about to say

"I forgot sorry," Patton exclaimed, "who wants homemade cookies?" Patton stood up
"I mean I do, but Patton. What aren't you telling us?" Roman asked, also standing up

Patton mumbled something
"Patton could you please speak louder and look at us when talking" Logan asked

Patton sighed and looked us all in the face, what he said next surprised us all.

"She said we only get predictive dreams about our soulmates."
