Esme Fawne feared for her life. As she stood in the faint light of her living room, throwing all her important belongings into trunks, she knew she wasn't safe.

"I can't stay here, Sirius. He's going to find me, he'll find out what I've done." Esme whispered, panic and fear evident in her voice.  Her hands shook as she looked fondly at an old wooden box containing multiple rings, before she placed it into her trunk and moved on.

"You can't leave, The Order needs you, now more than ever." Sirius pleaded from across the room.

Esme stopped packing and looked up at the dark haired man in front of her, sorrow filled her eyes. "I'm sorry. I have to protect her." She frowned, looking down at the baby girl asleep in her crib. "I have to protect Juniper."

Esme's blonde hair fell in front of her face as she leaned over, picking up her daughter and cradling her in her arms. Before Sirius could protest anymore, Esme had apparated away, her trunk disappearing along with her.
