Juniper chewed her bottom lip as she paced back and forth in front of Draco. The first task of the tournament was about to begin and she was freaking out. She looked down at the piece of paper in her hand, reading the spell and repeating it in her head again and again.

"Can you stop pacing?" Draco asked, slouching on the sofa. "You're making me dizzy."

The waiting tent was furnished to resemble a lounge of sorts, probably to make the champions more comfortable before fighting dragons, but Juniper didn't think the furniture helped calm her nerves at all.

She stopped and looked at the boy she had forcibly dragged into the tent with her. "Sorry." She said, turning around and coming face to face with Cedric.

"You look nervous." He stated, placing his hand on her shoulder in an attempt to comfort her.

"I am nervous." Juniper sighed, crossing her arms over her chest. "Apparently everyone knew the first task was a dragon except me."

"What?" Cedric frowned. "Harry said he was going to tell you."

Juniper glanced at Harry, who was whispering to the side of the tent, and back at Cedric. "Yeah, well. Clearly that didn't happen."

"I'm sorry, Juniper. I'll make sure to tell you myself for the next task if you don't figure it out before I do."

Juniper nodded and smiled at Cedric who returned the gesture before walking away. She wasn't sure why Harry, Ron, and Hermione had been so distant lately, but she didn't have time to worry about that due to the fact she was about to battle a dragon.

Turning back to Draco, Juniper dropped down on the sofa and laid back, kicking her feet up and using him as a leg rest.

"When I get eaten by that dragon, have them write thanks for nothing on my tombstone." She said, looking up at Draco and laughing, but he could tell she was using humor to hide her nerves.

"You'll be fine." He laughed, moving his hand to rest on her leg and absentmindedly rubbing his thumb back and forth. "Just don't get eaten."

"Wow, thanks." Juniper scoffed. "I hadn't thought of that."

Lately, all her time had been spent with Draco, or with the Weasley twins. Everyone else had seemingly forgot she existed.

A flash of light caused Juniper to throw her hands in front of her eyes.

"Oh would you look at that, more young love!"

Juniper groaned upon hearing the voice, already knowing it belonged to Rita Skeeter without having to look.

"Why are you here?" Juniper asked, sitting up and dropping her hands into her lap.

"You have no business here." Viktor Krum added, approaching the reporter. "This tent is for champions and friends."

"No matter. We've got what we wanted." Rita and her companions hurried out of the tent just as Dumbledore entered, followed by Barty Crouch.

"I'm gonna go, I'll see you later." Draco said, pushing Junipers legs off of him and standing up.

"Okay." She stood and nodded at him. "As long as I don't die.

Draco looked at her awkwardly, unsure if he should hug her or not. "Good luck." He smiled and walked away.

"Good day champions. Gather round please." Dumbledore said, gathering the five students in a circle. "Now you've waited, you've wondered and at last the moment has arrived. The moment only the five of you can fully appreciate."
