They lay prone atop a sand dune and watched as the Tuskans marched across the desert. "So why are we here love?" Hera asked Kanan. "Ezra said we need the young man from the moisture farm. He seems to be an integral part of the plan so were gonna pick him up." She seemed to think about it and then got concerned. "Love, Ezra has contacted him before, right?" Kanan shook his head. "So how do we know he will come with us?" Again, Kanan shook his head. "Ezra interrupted his destiny. We're coming to pick up the pieces and restart it. The only thing he told me was to not feel bad for them, it's inevitable, apparently."

Suddenly the sounds of angry sand people broke out. Peering over the top of the dune they see stormtroopers shooting at them. Within seconds the fight was over the sand people where all dead and only the stormtroopers commander was left standing. "Well, it couldn't hurt to take him out." Kanan said mostly to himself as he drew his blaster, aimed and fired. The bolt struck the commander on the side of the head, killing him instantly. "One and done."

Getting up he pulls Hera up and dusts her off. "Thanks love. Do you know where he is?" She asked while fixing his hair for him. "On paper, no. But I can sense him in the east. So well go east." She gave him a look at his vagueness. "Don't worry, its less than a mile." Smiling, she grabs his hand as they slide down the dune.

As they marched through the desert Kanan felt something off, something like inevitability. "We're close now, I don't think we'll like what we find though." As they crested the final dune they both spot the dark smoke columns in the distance. "That doesn't look good, love." Kanan nodded and kept moving forward.

As they got within a hundred yards of the moisture farm they see a young man crying over two burnt bodies. "Stay here." Kanan whispered then moved towards the young man. Standing a few feet behind him Kanan reaches out with the force, letting the young man feel his energy.

He ignored him and continued mourning his lost family. "I know you know I'm here. I've come to help you. You want answers, don't you? Why they were killed, that pulling feeling in the back of your head, even your parents. I can teach you how to get these answers if you'll come with me." He told him and extended his hand to him.

The blonde man looked up from the remains of his family and took his hand. "A smart choice, Luke." The look he gave him said it all. "The force, that inexplicable feeling you get. It lets me know a great many things. Your name, being one of them. If you'd like to bury them, go-ahead, but after we'll be leaving the planet. Take what over you might need then well get going."

Taking a step back from the young man he returns to Hera. "It'll be a few hours at most. It's can't be too hard to dig in the sand and I don't imagine a lot his stuff survived the fire. Let's go get the ship and let him have his time in peace." As they boarded the ghost they both let out a sigh of relief when the AC hit them. "It's never felt better than this." Kanan said aloud. As they made their way to the cockpit Chopper turned on the ship's flight systems and got everything ready.

Looking towards Hera Kanan couldn't help the smile. She really did love flying, not even two minutes of flight was ahead of them and she was smiling wide. "I'll be in our room, I need to meditate." She nodded as he left the cockpit. Kneeling on the bed he reached out with the force and called to Ezra. 'Hello, Kanan. Have you found him?' 'Yes, the boys fine. His family, not so much. Tell me, why is he so special?' 'You know the Jedi prophecy of the "chosen one"? He is the chosen one, and if not him then his father before him. Regardless, he is the catalyst for change, for the force to finally be in balance again. Not skewed to either side by the light or dark. For all of us, the misguided Jedi of old, the lost Sith and the ever indifferent grey's, he will save us all. Are you on your way back?' 'No, not yet. He's burying his family and gathering what he has left. After that's done we'll be leaving. Shouldn't be more than a few hours.' 'Alright, well it's four in the mourning here so I'm going back to bed. Later Kanan.'

"Well, I didn't know the kid was so important. Ugh, guess I should go keep an eye on him." Rising from the bed he heads back out into the heat. "Ugh, this sucks ass."
