He marched through the halls of the massive battle station with a single-minded determination. Striding through the packed corridors he cut threw scores of stormtroopers and Imperial workers alike, unconcerned with their lives. He moved closer to a prone Imperial worker, poised to kill the woman but stopped midmotion.

Reaching out with the force he felt someone he must have overlooked before. "Mhm, a second apprentice?" He asked himself now totally unconcerned with the fleeing woman. "No, he's devoted to the rule of two." He deactivated his saber and began to think, crossing his arms and stroked his beard. "An inquisitor? Nah, probably not, they're all almost completely wiped out. So who could this be?" He sighed gruffly, deciding this unknown was irrelevant, whoever it is would die today, just like the rest of them.

Reaching out with the force again, he feels for Sidious and his unsettling presence of complete darkness in the force. "Mhm, I've found you, my lord." Striding down the long, grey, and dull halls of the battle station he felt the second presence moving closer to him. He felt a slow and increasingly growing pulsing in the back of his head. "Damn it, now's not the time." He sank to one knee as he felt the vision overtake his consciousness.

He saw the vision as it rushed by his mind's eye. The woman had bright red hair, she seemed to be nervous, uncertain even. He looked around her, seeing the same dull grey wall that flanked him now. The vision shifted, she was sitting next to a blond man, he held a sleeping toddler on his side. She was smiling softly down at a small bundle, a baby. The man turned to face her, a smile on his face. "Seems the babe settled down uh, Mara." She nodded, not looking down from her newborn. "Have you picked a name yet, Luke?"

The vision began fading away when it revealed Lukes name to him. "Ugh, I see, she's needed. Fine." Clearing his head he stands. Walking down the corridor he stops a few feet from the blast door he waits. A few moments later it opens with the whoosh automatic doors are can't help but make. She stopped mid-step, surprised to already be face to face with him. "Hello, Mara." He spoke with a kinder tone than he'd ever given any imperial. She looked surprised, not expecting to even receive a greeting much less suck a cordial one. "Hello, Ezra." The two held the other's gaze for a moment. "I've foreseen a fragment of your destiny. Today, this fight is not where you're meant to meet your end. Go to Krownest, tell them I sent you. They'll take you in."

She nodded and ran past him down the hall. He smiled, glad that at least he didn't alter Skywalkers destiny any further. "You welcome Luke. Maybe one you'll pay that forward."

Stalking down the hall he felt Sidious nearby. Looking at the larger than normal blast door he knew he was on the other side. Walking past it he finds himself in the throne room. "Greeting Master Jedi." The Sith Lord greeted him from his throne as it faced the massive window. "Or, perhaps you would Vectivus? Either way, today, you will die."

In a stunning show of speed, the old Sith lept from his throne and let loose a massive gout of lighting at him as he soared through the air. Using the force he dashed across the room and now stood next to the now empty throne. "Impressive, for a child."

He sent another massive gout of lighting at him. Holding out his right hand Ezra caught the lightning. The force of it was enough to slowly push him back. Slowly taking the energy into himself condensed it into his left hand. He returned the lightning in one overcharged bolt of lightning that was so powerful it heated the metal floor and blew clean through the wall behind Sidious when he jumped out of its way. "Impressive. You will make an excellent replacement for Lord Vader."

He now knew what his mother and sister told him was true. Sidious might actually have unlimited power. He was working out a plan when a gigantic green crystal caught his eye from the other side of the hole his returned lightning made in the station. "A kyber crystal." He said mostly to himself.

Catching more lightning he released it into the massive crystal and saw it react by becoming overcharged and started melting down the metal near it. Sidious caught on quickly. "You fool you'll kill us both!" He looked deep into Sidious's evil and empty eyes. "Good." With a final push from himself, he sent a bolt of blood-red lighting at the kyber and watched it crack and fracture. He knew, that the massive explosion from the kyber was going to be the last thing he'd ever see. He closed his eyes, accepting his chosen fate.
