Thad huffed irritatedly. Why was it that Wes was always right by his side, nagging on him, but disappeared the minutes he needed to talk to him?

He finally found him with some other kid, not caring that he was interrupting. "We need to talk."

Wes glanced at the other boy. "Can it wait?"

"No. Come on, you can flirt with your boyfriend later," he said, taking Wes by the wrist and pulling him away.

Wes was bright red. "Thad!"

Thad took one look at his expression, realizing why he was embarrassed. "Oh. That was David, wasn't it?"

"You are the worst. What's so important?"

"We've got a problem. I think."

"You think?" he asked incredulously. "You pulled me away for a hunch?"

"Yes, because this hunch has evidence and includes a freshman with an abusive family."

Wes's eyes went wide. "Who? How do you know? Are they in immediate danger?"

"I'm 90% sure he's not in immediate danger. But he's got a cut across his cheek, his boyfriend said something really angrily that if whoever it was 'laid a hand on him again' but he cut him off and said he was fine."

"Did they say a name?"

"They said 'that bastard.'"

He sighed, frustrated. "That's not too helpful."

"Not really."

"You gotta tell the Dean," Wes said matter-of-factly.

"That's the thing. What if I'm wrong?"

"Then nothing happens." He shook his head. "Thad, if you don't report this, I will."

Thad was quiet. "I'll report it, but... Will you come with me? In case I freeze up?"

"Of course. You know, the Dean's probably busy right now..."

He laughed at the look on Wes's face. "Alright, go back to your boyfriend, we can go see him this evening."

"He's not my boyfriend," Wes objected, reddening.

"But you want him to be," Thad pointed out.

His blush deepened. "Shut up."

"You aren't denying it."

"I thought I told you to be quiet."

Thad chuckled as Wes returned to David, no doubt to explain frantically why he had called him his boyfriend.

He's never going to get anywhere if he doesn't ask him out, he thought to himself. He started walking back to his dorm to hide from the chaos when his phone buzzed.

Versace
Hey, who was that kid you were showing around earlier?

Thad rolled his eyes, clicking on the message.

You'll have to be a bit
more specific that that,
I showed around a lot
of freshman today

He was with his friend,
it was the blonde and
the one with dark hair

Jeff Sterling?

No, everyone knows
him, the other one

Oh he's Blaine
Anderson

Why?

He's a freshman?

Yeah

Again, why?

idk

He was kinda cute

Oh great, Kurt Hummel's
got a crush

Leave me alone

You going to talk to him?

Honestly probably not

I don't know what to say

"Hey, you're cute and gay,
I'm cute and gay, give me
your number and we'll
see how this works out"

As IF 😂

You're a sophomore, he's
a freshman. Ask if he has
any questions or if you can
help with anything.

Finally you say
something reasonable.

Don't get used to it.

"Oh my god, who is he?" Blaine mumbled, looking across the dining hall at a boy who had just walked in.

"Hm?" Jeff looked over. "Which one?"

"The really hot one." He glanced at Jeff. "The one with the brown hair that's styled up and the scarf. Shit, he's looking at me."

"He's heading over here," Nick noticed.

Blaine averted his eyes, looking away. "Shit, I'm too socially anxious for this. Is he still heading over here?"

"Yeah- wait, no, someone walked up to him and stopped him," Jeff said.

He sighed in relief. "Thank god."

When Kurt walked into the dining hall, he noticed the boy- Blaine Anderson- looking at him.

Figuring lunch would be a good time to talk to him, he headed over. He wasn't alone, so it wouldn't be too awkward.

"Kurt, we kinda have a problem."

He looked over at Sebastian, who had walked up to him urgently without him noticing. "Kinda, as in a sort-of problem, or kinda, as in you're kneecapping your sentence and it's a definite problem?"

"The second one."

"Scale of a sink leaking to a gas leak?"

Sebastian paused. "Um, not... Not that kind of problem."

Kurt's eyes went wide. "Oh! You mean-"

"Uh-huh."

He glanced over at Blaine, who was laughing with his friends. "Um..."

————————————

Wes feels very loved for the unanimous vote for Thad to go to him XD

What does Kurt do?
A) Brush off Sebastian and the problem and go over to talk to Blaine
B) Go with Sebastian to fix the problem and talk to Blaine later

(if it helps and you can't tell yet, Sebastian is a good guy in this)
