Would you want to get
coffee with me?

I'd love that.

"Wes!"

David caught him in the hallway– quite literally caught, grabbing his arm and making him stop.

Wes turned around. "D–"

David grabbed his face, kissing him. Wes melted, wrapping his arms over his shoulders and kissing back.

"I'm sorry," David said, breathless. "I don't need space. I need you."

"I need you too," he whispered. He leaned in, kissing him again.

"Fuckin' finally."

Wes didn't even break the kiss to smack Thad's shoulder, telling him to leave. Thad laughed. "Alright, I got the hint."

Kurt couldn't help feeling anxious. He figured once Sebastian showed up, his nerves would go away, but they didn't.

It wasn't helped by the fact that he didn't get anything to drink.

They talked, and they had a lot in common, and eventually he started to relax. Then they headed back to Dalton together, talking and laughing.

"You know, I'd really like to do this again," he said as they got to the front steps.

Sebastian smiled at him. "I would too."

They paused, just looking at each other. Smiling. Kurt glanced down at his lips and decided to throw caution to the wind.

He leaned in to kiss him...

But Sebastian pulled away abruptly, looking startled.

And Kurt froze.

He'd put himself out there and Sebastian just... rejected him. He said he wanted to go on a second date, but then jumped away from his kiss, having the gall to look startled.

He seemed to realize what he'd done. "Kurt, I–"

Kurt wasn't hearing it. He brushed past him, walking into the building and not looking back. He ignored as Sebastian said his name again.

He wanted to curl up into a hole and die. It was dramatic, yes, but he'd never made the first move before. He'd never been rejected. He'd never been so embarrassed.

He didn't open up easily, but he had. And he was reminded of why he didn't.

"Hey, um, Jeff, right?"

The blonde turned to him, smiling. "That's me."

Thad nodded. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Yeah, 'course."

He took a deep breath. "It's about your boyfriend."

There wasn't even a trace of a smile on Jeff's face when he said that. "Right. Because you just can't leave him alone, can you?"

"Would you prefer he gets called into the Dean's office and asked what's going on?" Thad asked desperately. "I'm trying to make sure that doesn't happen, but for that, I have to tell them he's okay."

"Wait, what do you mean?"

"The Dean knows about the cut on his face and is suspecting child abuse. I am trying to keep him from pulling him into his office and interrogating him, because he seems like he'd have a panic attack if that happened."

Jeff was quiet, thinking over his words carefully. "Here, give me your phone number, and I'll talk to him about it. I'll text you what we're going to do."

"Yeah, good idea."
