Because we thought
that would be the only
time he was free. I
mean, we can still
wait until the evening,
but right now we know
he's free

Wes shook his head. David could wait.

Yeah, you're right. I'll
meet you there

"Hey, I have to go," he said to Sebastian. "Text me about what happened when you find out."

"Alright."

He put his phone in his pocket and headed to the Dean's office. Thad was there, already looking nervous.

"You ready for this?" Wes asked him.

He took a deep breath. "Ready as I'll ever be. Let's do this before I psych myself out."

Wes nodded, knocking on the door.

"Come in," the Dean said from inside.

They opened the door and walked in, the man giving them a tired smile. "Hello, boys. Sit, sit. What can I do for you?"

"We have a concern about a freshman," Wes said, looking over to Thad.

"Yeah, it, um, he has a cut across his cheek," Thad said, voice much more quiet and a lot less confident than Wes's. "I was there when his friend saw it, he asked what happened and the kid just said he was fine, and his friend was suddenly angry, he started to say 'I swear, if that bastard lays a finger on you again' but he cut him off and said he was fine. I just... There's too good of a chance for him to be in an abusive situation to not come to you."

"Well, I'm glad you did. What's his name?" the Dean asked, turning to his computer.

"Um, Nick, Nick Duval," Thad said.

He typed something and mumbled what he was reading under his breath, eventually shaking his head. "There's no notes or anything."

"Call him in and talk to him," Wes suggested. "It worked with me."

"No, you shouldn't," Thad said abruptly. "What if we're wrong?"

"He just says so and nothing happens," Wes said.

"It'll make him uncomfortable," Thad insisted.

"If you're worried about him being uncomfortable, one of you could ask him," the Dean suggested. "You could tell me what he says, if you think I should look into it."

"I can do that," Thad said. "I've already met him."

"Great, perfect, we'll be back once they talk," Wes said, getting up. "If you'll excuse me, I'm heading to lunch."

He and Thad went their separate ways as they left the office. His phone buzzed and he pulled it out of his pocket.

Sebastian
Apparently he told Kurt
what happened and it's
handled but the kid
didn't want to talk to
anyone about it

He sighed.

So Kurt knows what
happened and isn't going
to tell us? Sounds like
bullshit.

Kurt is just respecting
his privacy.

If it's handled why does
he have such a problem
with us knowing?

You think Kurt actually
knows what happened?

Yes, I do
