3:01pm, Science and Technology Suite, Room 278 with Miss Charlie Bradbury
Willow sighed with relief at the rows of computer banks. "Home sweet home." Willow moved behind a computer and sat down. "I've missed this." She pulled out her phone and plugged it into the port on the inside of the computer. The computer screen flashed and powered on.
WELCOME WILLOW E. FOSTER.
Willow smiled. The tech here was clearly just as good as back in district 3 if not better. There were only a few other people in the class around her and most of them looked to be older students. Willow sunk down lower in her seat and began to mess around with her computer screen. She was just using the keyboard at the moment but after quickly glancing around to make sure no one was watching, she tapped on the computer screen. A message popped on the screen.
ENABLE TOUCH-SCREEN ACCESS?
Willow entered yes and the computer hummed slightly.
TOUCH-SCREEN ENABLED
"How did you get it to do that?" Willow jumped and looked to her right. A small four year old girl with wide green eyes was staring at her. Willow glanced between the girl and the computer.
"I just touched it. Here, log into your computer." The girl turned to face her computer and moved the mouse to get it to warm up. She turned and pulled a flip phone out of her small backpack and plugged it into the computer. Willow raised an eyebrow. "A flip phone?" The girl shrugged.
"It's a burner. I'm not supposed to carry around a phone that can be tracked super easily." Willow nodded as the girl's welcome message flashed across the screen.
"Sounds smart. Are you a hunter?" The four year old shot her a look.
"I am. Who wants to know?" Willow smiled disarmingly.
"A tribute. No one you have to worry about. I'm Willow Foster and I'm from District Three." The little girl nodded.
"I'm Sarah Shields and I'm from Milwaukee, Wiscounsion." As soon as the computer was sitting on Sarah's home screen, she turned and looked at Willow expectantly. Willow reached over and tapped on the screen. Red flooded Sarah's cheeks as she read the message and responded. "Oh. Guess I could have figured that out on my own." Willow smiled and shrugged.
"It's no big deal. It's the last hour of the day, everyone's a little brain fried." Sarah hummed in agreement, messing around with her computer. Willow opened up her own computer and opened up an application that showed in depth maps of the entire campus. She pulled up the Science and Technology Suite map and began to look through each floor. "Did you sign up for any clubs?" Willow asked, glancing at Sarah. Sarah nodded.
"Yeah. only three through. Science club, book club and parkour club. The last one is really only because I feel like it will come in handy with my future job."
"What are you planning on doing when you grow up?" Willow asked as she skimmed over the map. SHe was genuinely interested because she hadn't actually gotten the opportunity to sit down and talk with one of the hunters before. They were the only ones who were even remotely normal, like the tributes. The demigods and the wizards were to close to other gods and monsters for Willow to be comfortable. Sarah shot the older girl a look.
"I'm a hunter. Always have and always will be. That's my job when I grow up." Willow blinked.
"What do you mean that you've always been a hunter? You're a kid." Sarah snorted.
"Hunters aren't kids. A lot of us go through some horribly traumatic experience and come out hunters on the other end. If a hunter tells you that they had a good childhood, they're either lying to you or they're crazy." Willow shook her head.
"That's depressing." Sarah raised an eyebrow as she pulled up a website full of games.
"Aren't tributes raised to be lambs to slaughter in a televised fight to the death?" Willow opened her mouth but then hesitated.
"Yes... but I don't think that's the point?" Sarah grinned.
"Whatever you say. What clubs did you join?" Willow shrugged.
"All of them. Well, all of them except for video games, magical appearance, world language, and LGBT." Sarah stared at her.
"All of them? Isn't that a little overboard? I mean, you still have to keep up with six classes and a sport. That's overkill." Willow was about to answer when the bell rang and the teacher that neither girl had noticed entering, stood up.
"Hello guys! Welcome to Computer Security! Everybody made it to sixth hour alright?" Charlie Bardbury was a pale, thin redhead with a Star Wars shirt and jeans on. She also had a light red flannel shirt tied around her waist. She made Willow frown and Sarah grin.
"I thought she was dead." Sarah mumbled.
"I thought this class was taught by someone named Ash." Willow mumbled back. Sarah shook her head. She was standing up and peering over the top of her computer screen to get a better look at Miss Bardbury.
"It wouldn't be Ash. He was blown up a long time ago. Charlie, on the other hand, has only been dead for a little while. I don't know why I'm surprised it's her. No one from my dorm can stay dead." Willow scowled.
"I've been hearing that a lot today. How did she die?" Sarah was still staring at the redheaded teacher.
"She sacrificed herself to help Sam and Dean. Or Mister and Coach Winchester if you want to get technical." Miss Bardbury looked around the room and smiled at Willow and Sarah.
"I'm glad to see so many familiar faces and two new faces. How are you two ladies?" Sarah beamed.
"I'm great!" She looked at Willow and Willow smiled at Miss Bardbury as well.
"I'm good as well." Miss Bardbury clapped her hands together and sat down on the edge of her desk. (I'm pan, this is how we sit, sue me)
"I'm glad that everyone's made it to the end of the day. We will not be doing anything this week. Just relax and destress and we'll get into the fun stuff next week." Miss Bardbury grinned. "You guys will need to be well rested with what the hunters have planned for this weekend." Willow frowned.
"You already know what the school activity is for this weekend?" Miss Bardbury nodded.
"Yep. Dumbledore sets up the entire schedule up two weeks before school starts so that hunters can set up everything they need to. Coach Winchester had heavy input in this weeks selection." All of the older hunters groaned at those words.
"He's not having us try and solve the mystery of the Red Hood again, is he?" One of the girls asked. "Because as much fun as that was last year, it wasn't." Miss Bradbury laughed.
"That's rich. But you're in luck. None of the Hunter's activities have any connection to Mister Wayne or other Gotham City residents. All of them are horror movie related this year." The older students all breathed a sigh of relief while Sarah and Willow shared uneasy looks.
"Horror movies?" Willow whispered. Sarah shook her head.
"I can't tell you what to expect. Both Winchester brothers like different things out of horror movies. My guess is a good mix of suspense, gore and jump scares. It's going to be very very weird and probably very very scary." Willow sighed sadly. She looked back at her computer screen that was still paused on the map of the math and science building. It looked like it was going to be a very long and stressful school year.
"I hate horror movies."
