12:59pm, Electives Building, Room 312 with The Master
"Ugh, you're in this class to?" Adam blinked and looked at Synthia, who was standing next to him. She looked equally confused.
"Which one of us were you talking to?" He asked. Violet rolled her eyes.
"Does it honestly matter? I'm clearly not thrilled to see either of you." Adam opened his mouth to shoot back a reply but Synthia tugged on his arm.
"Look, there are two open seats right there next to that tribute. Why don't we sit over there?" Adam glanced over at where she was pointing and saw Willow waving at him. Synthia dragged Adam away from Violet but not before Adam shot her a look over his shoulder.
"I didn't know you where interested in Law." Willow commented brightly as Synthia and Adam took desks on either side of her. She was looking at Adam but he was to busy glaring at his phone to answer. Synthia rolled her eyes.
"You'll have to excuse him. Violet isn't the nicest person to run into." Willow turned to the witch with raised eyebrows.
"You know Adam?" Synthia shook her head and fiddled with the tassel on the bottom of her handbag.
"Nope! We haven't met. But I've had to deal with Violet, so I was willing to take the bet that he was a good person." Willow nodded and glanced over at Adam. He was still glowering at his phone.
"Adam, do you have to deal with her during the rest of the day?" He shook his head.
"I have no clue. But she's my roommate so I'll be stuck with her for the rest of the year." Both Willow and Synthia winced.
"That's not going to be fun." Adam shook his head as the bell rang. He slid his phone into his bag and the entire class waited for the teacher to appear. Most of the students were wary or on edge from previous teachers they'd had. They had good reason to be.
"Hello Kiddies." A tall skinny man with retreating salt and pepper hair stuck his head into the classroom. He grinned and Willow and Synthia shifted uncomfortably. He walked into the room and stood next to his desk. His eyes scanned the class hungrily. "So many young minds. This is just beautiful." He had an english accent. Violet narrowed her eyes as she watched him and Adam got a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. "I am your teacher, Harold Saxton. But I will also answer to The Master." Willow and Synthia exchanged looks of equal confusion. "Most of you must be racking your brains to figure out what dorm I'm from. Well, I'm not from any of the dorms. I can most closely be associated with the physics professor, The Doctor." Willow groaned then raised her hand tentatively.
"Sir, are you a Timelord?" The Master's face lit up.
"Yes, yes I am! How did you know?" Willow winced.
"I had a class with Professor Song and a class with Ms Oswald. They both told me they were connected to the doctor." The Master nodded and crossed his arms over his suit.
"Smart girl. Using your brain. Well done." Adam, Violet and Synthia glanced at Willow. The Master continued talking. "The Doctor and I grew up together. We drifted apart. We are now immortal enemies. We will continue to run into each other and fight each other until one of us can no longer breath. He will beg me to be good and I will continue to murder hundreds." The entire class reacted.
"D-Did he say murder?" Synthia hissed to Willow. Willow nodded mutely. Violet surprised Adam, Willow and Synthia by raising her hand for a question.
"Sir? When did you kill all those people?" The Master nodded thoughtfully.
"In a different universe. A different timeline. I was Prime Minister of Britain for a year and killed so many people. I died for my troubles." Willow and Adam looked at each other. Willow looked angry for someone who was so sweet. Adam leaned over so he could hear her next statement.
"Doesn't anyone stay dead around here?" Adam grinned and leaned back in his seat. Willow looked dead serious. "I mean, this is ridiculous! Is being dead so bad?" Adam chuckled.
"I think you're taking this to seriously, Willow. People in my dorm can come back all the time. I think it's the same with Wizards. The hunters have betting pools to see how long it takes people to come back." Willow scoffed and ran her hands through her long blonde hair.
"You people are all crazy. Witches and Demons and false gods." Synthia opened her mouth to defend her dorm but Adam quickly shook his head at her. Synthia frowned but sat back in her set and kept her mouth shut. Violet seemed to be on the same train of thought as Adam. Or as much she was paying attention. She was texting furiously over her phone but The Master wasn't paying attention.
"My wife, lovey woman, shot me for killing some many people. Ironic, isn't it?" The class just seemed to stare at him. He continued in a very unbothered manner. "I have been charged with teaching your children about Law. I would have been more suited for teaching Government but Director Fury has, apparently, more experience." The Master moved behind his desk and sat down in his chair. He spun the chair in a circle then look up at the clock on the wall. "I'm bored with this class. You all are dismissed." Synthia frowned.
"But, sir, we still have 19 minutes left." He stared at her as everyone scrambled to grab their things. Synthia paled under his gaze. "Nevermind." She grabbed her handbag and hurried out of the room. She stood and waited on Adam and Willow. They appeared after a few moments, followed by Violet. She pushed through their group and strutted toward the elevator. Willow watched her go.
"I really hope I don't have a class with her." Synthia and Adam snorted.
"Be glad if you don't." Adam muttered then adjusted his backpack over his shoulder. "What class do you have next?"
"Self Esteem." Synthia and Willow answered in unison and then smiled at each other. Adam blinked.
"Why am I not surprised?" Synthia grinned at him as she looped her arm around Willow's and the trio started towards the elevator.
"Well pardon us for wanting good mental health and a healthy self esteem. What did you take, Mister Self righteous?" Adam winced as they stopped in front of the elevator. Willow pressed the button to go up.
"I'm not self righteous." He turned to Willow for confirmation. "I'm not, right?" Willow just offered him an apologetic smile. He shook his head. "Wow. Anyway, I took study skills. I figured it was time that I try and learn some based on the classes here." Synthia nodded as the elevator arrived.
"Sounds smart." They filed into the elevator and Willow consulted her schedule while Adam did the same.
"Room 1411." Willow told Synthia and she hit the button. Adam had also found his class and reached over Synthia to hit the button for the second floor. The elevator rumbled and began to move up. Adam leaned against the back wall.
"Did you guys see the list of clubs?" Both girls nodded. "Any club you are interesting?" Synthia grinned and tossed her short brown hair.
"All of them. Expect for Yearbook." Adam raised an eyebrow.
"All of them? Isn't that a little ambitious?' Synthia rolled her eyes as the elevator came to a stop.
"Maybe for you but not for me." She and Willow disembarked and turned to wave goodbye to Adam.
"Have a good rest of the day!" Willow called as the doors slid shut.
