Everything started out on a good note when I released my discoveries, doctors and scientists around the world have been travelling to the secluded part of Africa where the Sugondese tribe resides.

Although not a lot of them survive the trips there.

When they came back from their trips, only half, or a quarter of them would come back, covered in the blood of their fallen companions.

And the worst part is, the nuts they brought back? They were for some reason, ineffective. Everyone started blaming me and my partner for lying to them.

After thinking that the weight has finally been lifted off my shoulders, that weight had crushed me again, and this time, it's much heavier.

I kept questioning why they didn't work. They worked before when I used them on Yuri, so why?

I decided that I will take a trip with Yuri instead and see why that is.

When we arrived at the area, we were immediately given a hostile greeting by the tribe. They all pointed their spears at us.

We tried to assure them that we didn't mean any harm, but instead they dragged us to their leader.

I have already been aware of how territorial the Sugondese tribe was, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. Maybe they were less extreme before and are now much hostile because of the scientists and doctors who took their plants forcefully.

When we arrived to their leader, he started grunting and blabbering gibberish.

Well, to be fair, it was only gibberish to us as we didn't understand what any of them were saying.

So instead, Yuri tried to interpret what he was saying based on his behaviors. He's a very observant guy.

Thanks to Yuri's help, I was able to convince the leader that we absolutely needed their plants to help us cure the disease that had been running rampant around the world.

While the tribe is very territorial, as long as you're nice to them, they will be willing to share with you.

When the tribe led us to the fields where the Sugondese nuts were, our mouths nearly watered. It was our favorite snack after all.

But when we picked one for us to eat, it tasted dreadful, making us spit it out.

The leader approached us speaking the same gibberish as before and according to Yuri, he was trying to tell us that the nuts have to be prepared properly first before they can be consumed.

That was when we realized why the nuts weren't working as medicine. Because we weren't preparing them at all and just straight up gave them to people.

Maybe the reason the tribe was so territorial over their nuts was because they were afraid of how other people would misuse it?

We followed the leader to watch him prepare the nuts. He went inside a tent with a sign that said "Sawcon". I'm assuming it was some sort of event with the tribe or whatever it was, I thought it looked necessary for the preparation.

And when he started preparing it, he used some liquid that was apparently called "Sugma"

I have seen that word somewhere on a box of Sugondese nuts, most people referred to it as Bofa however. And it was in fact rumored before that the snacks were also medicine scientificially known as Sugma. But I didn't pay much attention to those rumors as I didn't think it would actually be medicine.

When he finished the preparations, he offered us the nuts so that we could give them a taste test.

It was exactly the way we both liked it. The same delicious taste of the snacks we loved so much.

The next day, we returned back home and brought back the necessary ingredients.

It was like some sort of magic healing power had swept the whole world when the real cure went public. Not only that, but vaccines to prevent Ligma had also come into fruition.

It felt like I was making up for the death of my friend, Mike. May he rest in peace in Updog.

This will be the final time I will ever write about Ligma as I can finally put an end on this case for real.
