The Beginning

Chapter Eight

***P.O.V. Change (Shownu)***

I could tell something was off during the headmasters speech. Kihyun didn't look good at all. I thought maybe he was just afraid of crowds since he was new, but clearly, I was wrong. He ran out of the dining hall, and never came back. After the headmasters speech was over, I went to look for him, and bring him back. I went into the bathroom to see if he was there. It made sense if he was having a nervous break that he might run there so no one would see him. I knocked on the door and never got an answer. I turned the door knob and found that it was never locked.

"DAMN IT KIHYUN!"

I ran over to his body lying on the floor. He had no color to his skin. He was dehydrated, and shaky. His breathing was shallow, but its a good thing that he's breathing. At first glance you would think that he tried to kill himself again, but luckily that wasn't the case this time. He was sick, but I knew that it was from the panic attack.

"Hey Shownu, did...oh shit", JooHeon said.

"He passed out from a panic attack I think."

JooHeon ran over to where I was with Kihyun.

"What caused it?" He asked.

"I'm not sure. I think he's overwhelmed. It hasn't been that long since he almost over dosed on the pills Dr. Warren gave him. Maybe we should've let him stay in the dorm and rest."

We were so busy worrying about Kihyun that we didn't hear the others come in.

"What happened?" Wonho asked.

"Is he okay? Is he hurt? Is he sick?" Minhyuk asked.

"Honestly, I don't know how he's doing. He seemed fine, but I should've been more cautious. I should've made him stay behind and rest."

I.M. and Hyungwon stayed outside making sure no one comes in. Wonho got cold rags to put on his neck, and head. Minhyuk helped me life Kihyun up, and put him on JooHeon's back. We made it back to the dorm without anyone seeing us. We put Kihyun in his bed, and tried to raise his body temperature.

"Kihyun was never like this before everything happened," Minhyuk said.

"He was the one who always took care of us, and made sure we were okay," Wonho said.

None of us were happy about Kihyun. Before being in this place he was always happy, and healthy. He had confidence, and was always bossing us around. Now he's quiet, sensitive, less confident, and just not himself. We want to see the Kihyun we knew before everything went to hell. Maybe we were hoping for too much.

"It's not your fault," I.M. said. "None of us knew how he would be once he got rescued."

"You never know," Hyungwon said. "He might start to get some of his memories back with all these black outs. They might trigger something."

"Do you really think thats possible?" Wonho asked.

"You never know," he said.

Maybe that is true. For all we know, his memories could be coming back. It's a stretch, but it's enough to give us a small amount of hope.

"I hope youre right."
