"Run? You expect me to out run the guards? IM GOING TO DIE!"
I couldn't believe this. He thinks he's smart, but really, he's just too stupid. You can't out run a bunch of guards, especially if they have weapons. Oh shit, what if they have guns? What if they have tasers? What if they have those numbing black out darts that ninjas use? Yep, it's official I'm gonna die.
I.M. started laughing. "You're not going to die. As long as you don't get caught, you'll be just fine."
He's a confident fella, isn't he?
"I'M GOING TO DIE!!!"
"Surely, there is a way to distract the guards, right?" W.H. asked.
"Maybe, we or someone else could create a distraction?" M.H. suggested.
"Who's capable of doing that?" I asked
We could pull this off as long as the guards are out of the picture, but who could create a distraction?
"I believe you guys are talking about me," H.W. said as he walked into the room confidently.
I couldn't believe my eyes. Here, I wanted this to only be between me, M.H., and W.H.; now, it's gone from being kept between three of us to being kept between five of us. What could possibly go wrong?
"What exactly are you going to do to distract them?" I asked.
He's a walking paper clip, what is he capable of? He would snap into pieces if a guard caught him.
"Don't worry about what I'm going to do. Worry about what will happen if I don't distract them," he said confidently.
"You already have a plan, don't you?"
Why did I even bother asking?
"You won't know until I try," he said with a smile.
We spent the next couple hours planning out how were going to pull this off. J.H. and S.N. were left out of the plan. It's for the best, if they aren't involved. We decided to wait until it was lock down time before we went through with our plan. Lock down time is when we have to be back in our dorms, and we aren't allowed back out until morning. The doors lock automatically, but I.M had a way to hack the system and unlock the door.
"Trust me, this will work," I.M said.
I wasn't so confident about his plan. He sat at his computer while the rest of us waited for the door to unlock. W.H. was pacing nervously, I felt bad for the guy. He didn't want to be a part of this, but he was willing to help his friends. He's the sweetest one out of all of them. On the computer screen, all you see was the blur of letters and numbers being typed into the screen. I could tell he was typing in codes, but it seemed to take forever. We were all laying around dosing off when we heard I.M a series of clicking coming from the front door.
"Did you do it?" M.H asked, trying to wake himself up.
"The front door is unlocked, so we can sneak out," he said. "In order to hack the security surveillance system, I need to put this flash drive into the security panel by the security wing."
"Are you sure you won't get caught?" I asked.
"I won't get caught," he said. "You guys are the ones that need to make sure you don't get caught."
We left the dorm, and so far nothing happened. To get to the security wing, you have to go through a series of twists and turns in the hallways. This place is so much bigger than I thought it was. I really need to get out more. We reached the security wing, but we were met with an unexpected surprise. The door to the hallway was computer password protected, but it had a biometric scanner as well as laser beams in front of it. We were in the hallway next to the security wing, keeping out of sight of the security cameras. I.M made his way over to the security panel, and put his USB computer thing into it. He typed something into the panel, and the door unlocked. No alarm went off.
He walked in front of the biometric scanner, and that unlocked the next part of the door. He typed something into the panel again, and this time the laser beams went down.
"I got the locks down, and I'm about to take out the security cameras. The only problem is, everything will reset. You will have about one hour and thirty minutes to get in and get out. I can't guarantee that guards won't come after you," I.M said.
"Don't worry about the guards," H.W. said. "I'll distract them as long as I can."
"Just how exactly, do you plan on doing that?" I asked.
He shrugged his shoulders and didn't say anything. Maybe it's better if I don't know what he's planning. I.M turned back to the security panel, and plugged in another USB computer thing. He didn't type anything in, he just looked at the cameras until their red recording light went out. He pushed the door open, and looked back at me.
"Good luck," he said.
He had emotion in eyes when he said it, but I couldn't figure out what emotion it was. He didn't have any emotion on his face, but I could tell there was meaning behind his words. H.W. hung back with I.M, but W.H. and M.H. came with me through the door.
Its now or never...
