chapter 2
the breakdowns.dear beautiful soul;-
you always kept your pains to yourself. felt safer this way, although you did let them out to prevent explosions. you released them in shapes of poems, a song, in the words of your stories. a wide imagination you held on to as if it's your night in shinning armour against these beasts we call humans.
you stayed strong through your parents divorce. watched them bicker on daily bases, yet kept that smile. shrugged it off, recited the fact that they'll get over it. hence they saw you emotionless. soo strong they thought. fools, you were far from that.
you held your whimpers at night, the times they'd check on you at 3 am. an actress at work, you looked angelic fake sleeping. the street silhouettes sheltering your damp cheeks. a deep sleeper they said, completely naive to their constant quarrels downstairs. what the never knew was you barely did at lonely nights.
they always wondered why you take soo long in the washroom, what on earth would you be doing there? nothing important, just sealing your silent tears that held the pain your aching heart reserved behind the mental door. alone on the floor, crying at the mess you became.
i'd hate to break it down to you, but you made yourself this way. you kept pretending until they believed the lie. don't blame them for your skills were underestimated.
