Papyrus stared at Flowey in shock. "W-what?"
Flowey giggled. "Silly goose! I said I'm going to help you kill the human." He stretched his stem to make himself taller and peered into Papyrus's face. "Golly! The human pretty much killed everyone down here except the king! I think they'll go to him next. But if you kill them they won't be able to!"
Papyrus stared at the flower. He once would have lectured him about killing. Yet after seeing the human relentlessly kill everyone he loved...everyone in the underground...he wondered if he had a point.
"I guess you're right." Papyrus sighed. "I...I think Sans was going to do that. How do you think we can kill the human?" His voice hitched at the words "Sans" and "kill".
Flowey grinned. "I'm going to train you to kill the human. Then, when the time comes, you'll be ready to kill her!" He let out a terrifying laugh that made Papyrus a bit uncomfortable.
"You'll train me?" Papyrus leaned closer to Flowey, intrigued. "Wowie! Thanks!"
"Of course!" Flowey said. "Now, in order to whip you into shape I'll have to start soon. Come back here tomorrow! For now you should go sleep."

Flowey watched as Papyrus trudged back to Snowdin. He wondered if the skeleton would really be able to stick to his guns and kill the human. He seemed like too much of a softie to do that. Flowey had seen him in more than one timeline. But at the same time, his willingness to kill the human was something Flowey had never seen before. It was new. It was exciting. The entire timeline was new and exciting!
