Soon thereafter, the fireworks were going to start so we all got dressed again. When the fireworks started Zayden had to leave, thank god, one more minute with him I think I was going to strangle him.
Anyhow, we got all set up and sat in the beach chairs since you had to pay 8$ for one chair we only bought 4 chairs so we all had to squish two by two on a chair and plus the chairs weren’t even close to each other we were sort of spread a part a bit, never in the same row nor behind each other.
Luke and Briana were closest to the water front; Juliet and Dennis were 5 columns of chairs to the left, a row behind Luke and Brianna. Austin and Lexi were the highest above right under the moon like literally; Hunter and I were smack dab in the middle of everyone.
After that I don’t remember much besides what the girls told me on the walk back to the hotel, well about their part of the evening and the fireworks.
I simply remember what I was feeling, safe and at home. I remember how it felt snuggling with Hunter and when the rain started to pour down, during the fireworks, I remember him covering me with a towel and us laughing for hours on end, being shushed by the other people. I don’t know why it’s not like we were watching a movie or anything. It was great!
At the end, the guys were going to miss us so they decided that they were going to walk us back to the hotel. On the way back, Juliet was crying wanting them to stay forever, after a while I got to be a bit emotional as well. They all wanted for us to stay too and were sad to see us go. The girls and I were talking about our nights.
“Did you guys like the fireworks? They were so pretty.” I asked.
“Ya they totally were.” Lexi said. “Well the parts I saw anyway.”
“Ya us too, well me and Hunter. Did you like them, Juliet?”
“I didn’t really see them. I was starring into his eyes, his dreamy, dreamy eyes.”
“Hello? Wake up out of your trance.” I told her laughing my pants off. “What about you, Brianna?”
“Ya they were really great!” she answered over enthusiastically.
“What was your favourite part?”
“The part was when they went up; burst and then the debris just fell out of the sky.”
“Oh yeah that part! What color was that again?”
“Red and black! I remember because it was my grandma’s favourite colors.”
“There was no red! The colors were orange, green, yellow and blue. That’s it that’s all. No red, no black. Fireworks are supposed to be happy and bring joy to a child not black, dark and gothic. Hahaha, L.O.L!”
“Ok fine I didn’t see the fireworks. I wasn’t watching them. I was busy.”
“Doing what?” questioned Juliet.
“Uhm. Ok don’t say anything. Promise.”
“Promise!” we all said in harmony.
“Ok. I didn’t see the fireworks because we were kissing; well it was more like making-out, though. With Luke none the less.”
“So Luke,” Lexi announced. “I heard you were inspecting Brianna’s mouth while the fireworks were going on. Little bit of tongue action too?”
“Lexi!” Brianna yelled.
“Oh, I’m sorry a lot of tongue action! You were getting busy weren’t you Luke?”
We all started laughing but the laughter did not last long, they ended quite quickly to be honest with you. They turned into tears of sorrow. We had gotten to the hotel and it was time to say goodbye. It was emotional. All the guys were sad but not crying, we girls were all walling balling our eyes out. It was bad because we had all put on make-up at Firehouse Subs, so tears and mascara is not a good combination. In any circumstance, water can be countered by waterproof mascara but not tears and snow. I don’t know why though, it seems that tears and snow are like the worst elements of nature for a girl’s make-up. We all kissed them one last time before saying goodbye. We told them they could walk us up the stairs where our rooms were but they couldn’t go near the rooms itself because of you now the parents. When it got to our floors I didn’t want to leave him, I was going to miss him to much, I started to wail.
