Chapter 14: Progression

Meanwhile........

The countryhumans were still walking, but China stopped and looked around to see if his girlfriend was with him.

Japan was nowhere to be seen.

"Guys? Have you seen Japan anywhere?" He asked, getting slightly worried.

Everyone turned around to see if Japan was there with them, but she was nowhere to be seen. "I thought she was just behind us," Netherlands said. "We have to go look for her!" America declared. He was about to run back from where the group came from when Germany grabbed him.

"We're coming with you. This is a crowded and big place after all, Japan could be anywhere." He says.

With Japan......

Japan walks through the fourth wall, but...

She was still in the same place.

"Wha...?" She muttered, a little confused. Suddenly, she whipped her head around upon hearing a voice.

"Who's there?!" She shouted. Well, she heard me, dear readers.

"Readers? What readers?"
Japan asked. "And stop narrating." Ok, I'll stop narrating for a while.

So basically, you're in a story.

"Ooh! I've read about these before! Like how one of the other characters or the supporting characters break the fourth wall and end up talking to the narrator!"

Yep. It is. And that invisible glass that you have broken, was the fourth wall. I guess the story itself must've chosen you.

"What an honor! So, do you have a name?" I don't. I was only made to narrate this story. If this story will have it's ending, then I will be gone. Unless if there is a sequel to this story, then I will rise again.

"Cool! So, since you don't have a name, I'm gonna call you......"

Japan pauses for a moment before sighing.

"Narrator-san. Is that okay?" She says sadly.

Sure.

"Can I tell my friends though?" Uh.....I'm pretty sure that if you tell them, they wouldn't believe you. The creator of this story made sure they wouldn't. So only you and the readers can hear me.

"Oh. Okay! Well I didn't know you were narrating every single move we make this whole time!" Oh, uh....yeah, I was. It's a story, of course, so I do have to narrate what you're doing and thinking or feeling, as my job as a narrator.

Footsteps were soon heard. During the narrator and Japan's little chat. Japan turned around to see the rest of the group. China immediately ran up to Japan and hugged her.

"Where have you been?! I thought you were kidnapped!" China said as he cupped Japan's face into his hands. Japan smiled. "Chi, you're just overreacting. I'm fine!" She replied.

"Thank goodness you're okay." China muttered under his breath, and hugged Japan again.

"Alright, now what?" South asks, folding his arms.

"Let's just show Japan around, then we can head over to the next tourist destination." Netherlands says.

The group has just finished with their final destination, and are about to head back to the university before calling it a night.

"Well, this is my stop. I'll see you guys tomorrow, and we'll give UN an update." Netherlands tells the group as America, Japan, Germany, South and China get off the car.
