It is really bright outside when I wake up facing a window. I hadn't seen direct sunlight in so long, it burns my eyes a little at first but they quickly adjust. I look around as much as I can, which is only moving my eyes and my mouth.

"Azriel? Are you here? I can't move enough to see you. What's for breakfast?" I ask as thoughts pop around in my head.

"I'm here, and I'm making you pancakes. You will like them." He says from another room.

I try to look up but my head and neck feel too weak still.

"How long did you say I'm going to be stuck like this? Unable to move on my own?" I ask, feeling my hands are touching and fiddle with them.

"About 2 months, but with the injections I ordered, you will be healed in half the time, your powers just need to be fully regained and you will be fine. That sound ok my princess?" He asks from the other room.

"What kind of injections?" I ask, feeling a swelling of nervousness in my throat.

"Magic, pure and unrefined or processed, stronger than anything you have made before. It will help get you better just like I promised." He replies, walking over with something on a plate.

He sets them on the small table next to me and picks me up, sitting me up, I flop and can barely move on my own. He gets my sitting up, comfortable and sits next to me, grabbing the plate.

"Alright, so we are gonna try eating something. If you can't do it right away don't worry, I have a backup meal." He says, cutting me a piece of the yummy looking pancakes. I open my mouth and he places the piece in, I pull it off the fork and try to chew it but it's really difficult. I whine but try a little harder. He gently holds my jaw and puts a napkin to my mouth.

"Please spit it out... this clearly was pushing in. Sorry. I'll get the other option and the injection, they will pinch a little but not nearly as much as past injections you have had. I promise you will feel so much better after." He says, getting up, bringing the plate out and coming back with a bowl of something delicious, it was liquidy and smells so good.

"Alright, I will feed you first, then we have to try one injection, just one dose and we will see how you feel." He says, grabbing a table thing and putting it over me. He put the bowl down on it and sits next to me on a chair that I didn't see there before. Spoonful after spoonful he feeds me what I think was cereal, it was crunchy and had bits of strawberries and chocolate in it. It tastes really good and I managed to chew it. And bite by bite I eat it all, till the bowl is empty.

"Alright then. Next is the injections, the needle is kinda big but it won't hurt too much. Just relax." He says, leaving the room. I watch him closely from here, curious about what the injection would look like. I heard bits and pieces of what sounded like an important conversation last night. I'm not sure what to expect but I'm not afraid. He comes back with a small box and opens it after setting it on the small table next to me.

He takes out a blueish black syringe with purple stuff in it, it looked really high-tech compared to the ones the tower had. Its needle was kinda thin-looking and about as long as my thumb probably. Whatever was in it was glowing purple and a little bubbly looking. I am nervous where that needs to be injected to be so long.

"Wh-Where are you injecting me anyway?" I ask, feeling my body shaking with a little fear.

"Well, every being with demon magic has a core of it somewhere, I have to inject it in that, but it's hard to find so I need you to just let me find that first. And I promise this will hurt as little as possible." He says, setting the needle back in the plush case it comes in. He sets the open case on the little table and hovers his hand over my hands, over my arms, my waist. I know what he's looking for but I'm too scared to show it right now.
