Once there was a girl, born in heaven, to an angel of kindness, but something was amiss with the small girl, she had horns no bigger than the tip of your thumb and purple wing fluff. She wasn't meant to be like this.

"She should have had white wings but they appear purple, she has horns for God's sake!!" Her father shouts, being quite literal, this was God's niece and meant to help spread his rule around the world.

"Darling maybe they will fall off? Maybe they will grow white and it's just discolored now???" Her mother says hopefully, hoping to hide the truth she knew.

"She has purple wings! They will be removed right now with her horns before they grow! I rather a wingless angel than one with such vulgar colors!" He shouts again,

"You will not hurt our child! She is your daughter!" The mother shouts.

"She is an abomination!" He shouts, balling a fist that she's spoken out against him, about to storm out before his wife shouts.

"She's beautiful she will grow up like any other angel!!"

"She will be banished and us with her!"

"For the love of your Brother, SHE IS YOUR CHILD!"

"That thing is no child of me nor God. That is a demonic spawn and we will send her down at once, she is no angel and if you speak out again you can join her." Her father growls, grabbing the child and throwing her to the ground. She lets out an unholy wail and both parents cover their ears.

"Oh my... We will see your brother at once and explain that she has some horrible issue and needs to be sent away at once and will we will try again for a child!" She says quickly, hoping to win her husband's trust back as her heart breaks for the child.

"Right, he will understand something went amiss and he will take care of this, and we will have another child, it will be just fine my dear." He says, picking up the girl by the feathers and though she cries out again for a moment, she stops crying and instead, just holds the man's hand so she doesn't fall.

He holds back from shaking her off and just holds her further away.

"Come on, He will find something to do with it."

"Yes dear." The worried angel says, wishing to just hold her child a little longer.

They hurry to the big man himself and within moments of seeing the girl, He has nothing but disgust on his face. Without even a moment of explanation, he says the child will be handed to his followers and see what they do for her. He also has the two have another child at once.

The man sets down the child and turns to leave, but the woman angel picks up her child, holding her close.

"Little child of mine. Don't forget your mommy, I'm sorry my hands were tied. I love you my little Morrigian." She says softly as the little girl holds onto her mom, feeling the warm embrace and smiling before frowning, then smiling again, her little mind trying to understand the words but unable being only days old.

"Hand her over Marie, I will take care of her." God says softly, holding out a hand. She tentatively sets the girl down, kissing her head as tears fall, the golden shimmer on her face barely hidden anymore.

"I am holding you to that." She says, shakily holding her arms to herself and leaving, her husband putting an arm around her in false care and taking her off to try for a child without such an unholy appearance.

When the couple leaves, God just sits there and ponders what to actually do with the girl, in honesty he had no idea what to do. So he let her crawl around on his arm, he could feel she was stronger than any child her age should be, though weak as a newborn, she would grow to be stronger than any angel should. This had the potential to end horribly if he didn't find a way to contain her now.

Killing her isn't an option, she is my niece and that would look terrible in the eyes of my followers and angels. However, sending away an accursed child, maybe to be either helped or done away with at the hands of humans, that could work. Such a tiny being she is, I could so easily get rid of her and she has no idea. Well, I'll just put her down in that big city of my most devout followers, they will figure something out.

With his head on straight and a plan, God gently lifts the girl up and calls in an angel, any would do.

"Archimedes, take this poor girl and fly it down to the city of Ordell and give the tower the child, they will figure out what to do with her. I want to help but the way she is now is too soon to aid her, the most I can do is give her a good upbringing and I know they can do it. Now go." As he speaks he gently wraps the girl in a makeshift diaper and blanket so she is warm.

"Yes sir, right away!" Archimedes says quickly, picking up the child in his arms, she falls asleep and almost looks like a normal angel, if only it wasn't for the tiny horns that sit just above her temples. The angel gently runs his fingers over her very short grayish-blue hair, she has some tufts that fluffed up so cutely.

This child could have stayed if she was born without the horns and discolored wings, but no it's the order of God, I have to fly down and deliver her. I'll do it, quickly before I think too much longer. Gah! But she's such a sweet child not even crying! Archimedes' heart ached with the thoughts but he had his orders as he left his superior.

He leaps out of Heaven and flies down to the surface, heading for a large tower with various crosses on it, once near them the girl wouldn't stop crying, she was kicking and screaming in pain. In a panic, he pulls himself away from them and lands a bit away from the large crosses. She calms down once away from them.

"Poor thing, the crosses hurt don't they?" He asks her softly. She looks up at him with big blue eyes and nods. She knows the feeling is bad and if 'crosses' cause it, then they are bad too.

"Well didn't expect you to understand that. We are here now at your new home, you will be taken care of here." He whispers, tickling her belly making her laugh.

A pang of ever-growing guilt hangs on Archimedes' shoulders as he knocks on the door of the tower. An old nun comes out and beams at seeing the angel.

"Hello! What is the honor I have of seeing one of God's messengers?" She chirps. His smile falls and he carefully pulls back his wings. He shows he is holding the tiny girl closer to him, afraid for her well being, this is no place for a newborn of any kind.

"A child was born to be an angel and something went amiss so He has tasked this place to raise her to be a good child and keep her carefully contained. She is neither, or possibly both, angel and demon. Keep her away from crosses, for now, they make her cry and I am certain a demon's cry is enough to make your eyes pour out blood." Archimedes informs her, lying about the eyes bleeding thing. If the child was in pain, he wants to help, even if it means lying a little.

"Ah! O-Of course. I will see to it she is raised right and.. distanced from crosses." She says as she's handed the child, she holds her lovingly and carefully removes her cross necklace, putting it in a pocket.

"And I will explain if some crosses are removed that it was for the girl's safety." Archimedes adds with a smile.

"Thank you a million times over! We are believers but a child's wellbeing comes first." She says with a big smile. With that Archimedes flies off, to tell God he did his job and explain the crosses issue and the nun wonders if she sinned by lying to the angel about caring so well for the girl.
