Chapter 11: The Battle of Stormalinchi

The united galaxies fleet continue slowly forwards in the storm as well as the Spartanic invasion fleet in which they were going through the storm at high speed; Admiral Smith ordered "All channels are to be open and send a telegram to the leader of Stormalinchi asking for an alliance", then Shida spotted something on radar "enemy sighted five degrees off port bow", Admiral Smith got to work "inform the fleet, turn ninety degrees to starboard, aim the guns at the enemy ships"; the united galaxies fleet turned to the right and their steel guns sung towards the Spartanic invasion fleet which was located two miles north of the united galaxies fleet; the Spartanic fleet didn't notice Admiral Smith's fleet because their radar were being repaired after a malfunction happened three days ago, so the Spartanic fleet was easy prey for Admiral Smith and the United Galaxies Fleet.

Meanwhile on the planet Stormalinchi their leader King Maltalic (who was a rebel during the old Italicarno Imperialistic Empire and freed the planet Stormalinchi from the Italicarno Imperialistic Empire 3 weeks after Antoniolini captured Stormalinchi), was looking at the radar which had the fleets on display; a messenger approached the King, he was holding the telegram which was from HMS Liberator. The messenger handed the telegram to the king. The king opened it and started reading it.

After reading the telegram King Maltalic looked back at the radar display. He made a decision "fire a lightning strike on the Spartanic fleet".

The UG fleet was ready to attack the Spartanic fleet when the crew saw the clouds breaking up realising the fleet's cover was gone; Admiral Smith looked ahead and ordered "OPEN FIRE !" against the Spartanic fleet, the guns spurted out fire and then the shell burst out of the flames and flew towards their targets. Meanwhile in the dark clouds of the storm the Spartanic fleet was stuck in the middle of a lightning strike, they couldn't see anything but they can hear the sounds of naval artillery shells; Admiral Beloni was surrounded by the stormy clouds and lightning until a volley of shells from the UG fleet hit the Spartanic aircraft carriers including the Spartanic aircraft carrier RINS Politous.

A lightning hit the centre of Admiral Beloni's ship damaging the engine and causing the galley/kitchen to catch fire, then another volley of shells came charging towards Beloni's ship and hit the bow (front) of the ship but another shell penetrated into the ship but halting in the ammunition section of the vessel, but the shell had a timed detonation of only ten seconds until it explodes. Ten seconds later the shell exploded in the ammunition compartment which made a huge explosion causing the bow of Admiral Beloni's ship to blast open and expose the interior while the rest of the Spartanic fleet were about to be wiped out by the United Galaxies fleet, but within five minutes the Spartanic invasion fleet was destroyed by lightning strikes which were controlled by King Maltalic.

By then the only ship left standing from the Spartanic invasion fleet was Admiral Beloni's battleship RINS Italicarno which was in the middle of the dark storm but 7 seconds later a huge lightning hit the very centre of the ship making the ammunition, engine core and warp core explode, the sound of the explosion was so loud it was equal to a nuclear explosion. This marked the end of the Battle of Stormalinchi; Admiral Smith received a telegram from King Maltalic, it read "I am King Maltalic of Stormalinchi, I accept your offer of alliance; I hope we can get rid of this evil once and for all", Admiral Smith was delighted to have Stormalinchi on his side.

The united galaxies fleet continued on the march towards the Grand Imperial Inter-Galactic Empire, but before they left Stormalinchi, Admiral Smith sent coordinates to the Trooptransport fleet (which were still at Gamma Comas), to teleport to Stormalinchi where they would stay.
