Chapter 15: The Militarise City
Only a week after the construction had begun the barracks was completed and the airbase was half done meanwhile on-board HMS Liberator, Admiral Smith was in his quarters with General McFarrison as they both looked at the view of the city; "what a spectacle" Admiral Smith said "I agree" replied McFarrison, they both took a sip of their drinks, then McFarrison continued the conversation "when do you think this war will be over?", Smith answered the question "I don't know I can't predict when the war will end but if we make good progress during the coming future we might be able to crush the Gladiolus Inter-Galactic Imperial Empire with ease", McFarrison replied "as long as we don't leave anyone behind", Admiral Smith knew what McFarrison was talking about; The Battle of Pluto in the First Inter-Galactic War, Smith was captain of the battleship HMS Grand Slam and McFarrison was in command of the 8th Oxfordshire Regiment; fighting on his own Smith was pinned down in the ship facing a platoon size of the enemy until the 8th Oxfordshire Regiment arrived and slaughtered the enemy only to save HMS Grand Slam and Captain Smith only for the general to hear "I owe you one" from the captain; both General McFarrison and Admiral Smith took another mouthful from their drinks, "Well I better be off" said McFarrison; "good idea" replied Smith; "and one more thing" said McFarrison; "what is it?" replied Smith; "good luck" answered McFarrison. Smith looked down and then looked back at McFarrison and said "Thanks"; McFarrison left towards his main quarters, located at the Warriors Field, meanwhile Admiral Smith stared out towards the horizon and enjoying the sunset.
