TOM'S POV
Y/n went home a couple of days ago and I haven't seen her since that night. That night I found a bar a couple of miles away from a hospital. I drank my feelings away and I don't really remember anything. I woke up that morning in my car, in the hospital parking lot with Y/n's Mom banging on the window. I don't exactly know how I got there because I was wasted and definitely not in the right state of mind to drive anywhere, but somehow I got back to the hospital.
My head was pounding and I could barely see straight. She recommended me to go home or either go to a hotel and get some sleep because I haven't slept at all, but I told her no because first off I can barely drive and second I'm not leaving. I don't care if Y/n doesn't want to see me, but I'm not leaving her.
After she knew there was no point of trying to fight me, she told me I should at least go get a room and get some sleep. I thought that was a horrible fucking idea. I was fine with sitting in that stupid chair across the hall from Y/n's room, but she would just not stop. I reluctantly gave in and she drove me to the hotel she was staying at. She told me that I could just stay in the room she had because she didn't use it at all because she was at the hospital every night, but I told her no because I thought that was weird and I could get my own room.
I barely sleep at all and I thought it was a waste of my money. I stared at the ceiling half of the time because I couldn't close my eyes because all I thought about was Y/n. I would go to the hospital later in the evening until her Mom would tell me to go and get some rest. It was always a battle to get me to leave, but she said if I didn't she wouldn't let me come back. So of course, I listened. But now that Y/n's out of the hospital, she's been staying at her Mom's house. Which means I have to stay at our...well my apartment which feels empty without her. Her Mom told me that I can come over whenever I want, but I always go over there when Y/n's not there because her Mom will drive her all the way back to the hospital so she can see her Dad.
So when she's gone I'll go over for a couple of hours and drop off her school work and Y/n thinks that Bennett's the one that goes over to get her work, but it's me and it pisses me off that he gets the credit. But right now I'm doing what I do every day. I pull into the driveway and I grab all of Y/n's books and get out of the car. I walk up the driveway and when I get to the door I knock. A couple of seconds later the door opens and Bennett stands behind it,
"Hey, come in.", he says and steps aside so I can walk in. He closes the door behind me and I hear the TV on in the living room,
"How are you?", he asks as I walk towards the kitchen,
"Fine.", I say. I set Y/n's books on the counter and go over the fridge to grab a bottle of water,
"How is she doing?", I ask him as I lean against the counter,
"Um alright. She's still not herself, she's very quiet.", he says and I press my lips into a thin line,
"How's her side?", I ask,
"Better, it stills hurt her, you can tell, but she just won't rest. She's always up and doing something.", he says and I shake my head,
"She's so stubborn, if she wants to get better she has to take it easy.", I say,
"She says she feels like she has to repay us because we've done so much for her. We tell her that's not true, but she just doesn't listen.", he says,
"Yep, sounds like Y/n.", I say and set the bottle on the counter, "But if she doesn't settle down soon, I'll make her. I don't care if she punches and screams at me. I want her to get better and she's not helping herself.", I say. Before Bennett can say anything else, we hear running coming from the living room,
