Chapter 4: Real-Life Dream

"Hey, Joong-Ki. My name's Yoongi."
"Uh, hi Yoongi." Jungkook says. He really will have to get used to his undercover name.

"Tae, Hobi's waiting for you. He needs help with something that I'm a dunce at." Yoongi says. Jungkook is very confused by this conversation, but listens anyway.

Taehyung nods, completely understanding what Yoongi's talking about.
"Uh, Joong-Ki, I'll see you later. Gotta help my friend with something. You can stay with Yoongi, though. Yeah?"
Jungkook nods slowly as Taehyung runs off to find his friend.

Jungkook watches him speed off, hair bouncing in a mesmerising way. The younger bites his bottom lip.
"Hey, whatcha staring at?" Yoongi asks, following Jungkook's eyeline.

"Taehyung is hot." Jungkook says aloud. Realising he spoke the sentence out loud, Jungkook snaps his hand over his mouth, looking at Yoongi.
"I see..." The brunette says, smirking.

"Don't tell him, please." Jungkook says, remembering to use manners, which is difficult for him.
"Don't worry, your secret's safe with me." Yoongi winks. Not in a flirtatious way, more in a way to tease Jungkook.

RING! DING! DONG!

The bell rings and Jungkook doesn't know what class he has to go to. He waves goodbye to Yoongi and heads to, what looks like, the principal's office.

*TAEHYUNG FOCUS*

He runs off to find Hoseok, knowing full well he needs help with asking out the girl he likes. Hoseok promised himself last year that, on the first day of year 12, he'd ask out Lisa.

He stuck to his promise, it seems. Taehyung finds his best friend standing near a tree, looking nervous.

"Hobi!" Tae calls out. Hoseok rushes over to Taehyung.
"Hey, Tae. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna ask Lisa out... But I'm so nervous!"
"Don't worry, you'll be okay. The worst thing that can happen is she says 'no'. But that's not going to happen because you're an amazing person. Now, man up."

Hoseok looks at Taehyung with and are-you-serious look.
"Says the one who won't tell his father about his sexuality." He whispers.
"Shut up. Now-"

RING! DING! DONG!

The bell goes before Taehyung can give Hoseok a speech. He sighs.
"We shall resume this at first break." Taehyung declares, waving goodbye to his friend.

Omg! Joong-Ki! Taehyung quickly heads to where Yoongi and the new student were standing. Yoongi isn't there anymore and "Joong-Ki" is walking towards the principal's office.

Taehyung catches up with "Joong-Ki" and taps his new friend's shoulder. "Joong-Ki" jumps again, getting surprised that someone else is in his presence.

*BOTH FOCUS*

"You scared me. Uh, is this the way to the principal's office?" Jungkook asks, taking in Taehyung's beauty again.
"Yep, I'll come with you."

Jungkook could almost drop dead in this moment. Why is Taehyung so beautiful? His face is enough for God to worship.

As Jungkook stares at Taehyung unknowingly, Taehyung gets chills running down his spine. The way Jungkook is looking at him is making his skin chill.
Why does he keep staring at me? Maybe it's just because of my hair, I mean, it is pretty strange.

"Here's the principal's office, I'll help you get your schedule and show you where your class is." Taehyung says, being polite.

Jungkook goes to get his schedule from the principal's assistant, but remembers what Jimin told him.
"Uh, thanks."
"No problem."

Jungkook gets his schedule and Taehyung leads Jungkook to his first class, which Taehyung's in as well, Literature. The two enter the classroom, Jungkook trailing behind Taehyung, trying to hide even though he's taller.

"Ah, and here they are now. Mr Kim Taehyung you can take a seat." The teacher, Mr Teol, says.
"And you must be Joong-Ki. Please, introduce yourself." He says to Jungkook.

"Annyeonghaseyo, my name is Hyun Joong-Ki. I hope we can be friends. Please take care of me." He says, bowing.
"I'll take care of him." Jungkook hears a girl whisper.

Instead of sending her a death glare, he just ignores her inappropriate comment. Although, he is much more inappropriate. He perverted on two guys when he was going to the pub, remember?

"Thank you, Mr Hyun. You may take a seat." Mr Teol says, motioning for Jungkook to sit down. Jungkook takes the seat next to Taehyung and the lesson starts.

"Okay students, today is only the first day so, we'll be getting to know a little bit about each other. Okay? How about you tell everyone something you love and then something that you hate. We'll go in role order, Liya, you're first." Mr Teol explains.

"Okay, well. I love my Eomma's Homemade Spicy Ramen Noodles. And I hate being ignored." She states. Jungkook recognises her as the inappropriate-comment girl.

"Thank you, Liya. Next is Yeoung-Weong." And so, everyone has a go at telling the other students something they love and something they hate. Now it's Jungkook's turn.

What does Joong-Ki like? What does he hate? C'mon Jungkook, you should know this! Namjoon never told me anything he hates... I'm gonna have to lie, aren't I?

"I... I love making videos. A-and I hate... Being stressed." In Jungkook's mind, that technically wasn't a lie.

After a few more people, it's Taehyung's turn.
"I love my Appa's kimbap. And I hate confined spaces." He says. Jungkook looks at the boy next to him and smiles.

He gets to stare at this ethereal boy everyday for the rest of the entire year. He might actually enjoy school a little after all.
