"Yea ma I think she is started to let me in... she's gonna be my girlfriend really soon"

I had popped up on my momma at her new house. It's her day off and Yanna's at work so I needed something to do.

"So you mean to tell me you paid off her apartment for the year and gave her the only key?"

"It's not my place to have a key, I'm not her girlfriend yet. I want her to be sure of what she wants cause I know what I want." I shrugged

"And what if she's playing you?"

"Then I'm going to be really depressed... either way I'm giving my all. I ... I think I love this woman momma."

My mom froze. The spoon she was using to stir dropped and it hit the ground with a clank.

"Love Desirae? Don't move too fast."

"I'm not"

I blushed.

"I haven't told her that. I really do think I love her though. I always want to be around her... it feels like my whole world revolves around her. I keep telling her to quit her job and I'll take care her but she always says "Dez you not even working no where... one of us had to work". Part of me wants to just go ahead and tell her that I hit the lotto..."

"Hell no! Don't you tell her that! At least wait until she's your girlfriend. If she's not using you now then she definitely will if you tell her you have millions of dollars. Hell you already got her hair done, took her to that expensive ass restaurant, you paid for her apar-"

I cut her off

"She didn't ask me for any that... I did it for her cause I wanted to impress her and spoil her. I know I'm being a big ass show off but that's how she makes me feel... she makes me feel like I'm the shit when I have her on my arm."

"Yea and she's also China's best friend ... you know what they say, birds of a feather..."

She set down a plate of food in front of me.

"I know I know" I groaned "chill ma I'm already nervous about all this" I said stuffing my mouth with dirty rice.

She sighed and sat in front of me with her plate.

"I know I have a smart daughter... I just also know my daughter is a millionaire and she's trying to impress a girl she doesn't know that well"

"Woman. She's a woman" I corrected

"Okay. My daughter is a millionaire and she's trying to impress a woman she doesn't know"

I rolled my eyes and crunched into my fried chicken.

"She still has no idea where the money is coming from.. yesterday she asked me if I was dealing"

I cracked up. My momma tried not to laugh hiding her smile behind her chicken.

"My baby would never survive in a gang"

"Aye!" I kicked her softly under the table.

"Girl, I'm more gangsta then you. Don't make me get my belt"

She laughed eating.

"Ha ha ha" I mocked her scrapping the last of my rice off the plate and into my mouth.

"So what are you going to be up to today?"

She asked sipping her tea.

"I'm just waiting on Yanna to get off.. I got a date planned for her. Matter of fact she should be getting off any minute now."
