Q: What's your name/pen name?
A: Hi! Firstly I would like to thank you for having me. It's a pleasure to be doing this. As for the question my name is Karolina. On Wattpad, I go by the pen name KinderKari and outside of it, I am Kala to my family and my closest friends.
Q: What's something you wish you could shout out to the world right now?
A: I'm so freaking cold and can someone hug me?
Q: What's something you'd like to change about Wattpad?/dislike about Wattpad?
A: I would like if Wattpad did seperate awards for undiscovered authors so anyone has the chance to get discovered. I feel like there are so many rare gems on this app but they don't see the light as much. Also for the Wattpad app, I'd love if we were able to use all kinds of emojis when sending private messages. I'm an emoji girl so this has been a real struggle for me.
Q: Do you struggle with vulnerability ?
A: There were times were I tried to suppress my feelings as I felt they were too 'real' to show (even to my closer friends) but I feel that vulnerability shouldn't be looked down at as something negative but as something that can connect us.
Q: What do you believe in?
A: Magic. I believe that there is some sort of magical energy surrounding us. Once I actually tried to say a weather spell with my two friends by the lake and after that day we had 2 weeks of bright sunny weather in the UK (it was during a time where we hadn't seen the sun for few weeks). We're not completely sure if it was coincidence or if the spell actually worked but to this day I'm still a true believer that perhaps 'manifesting' is a way of magic occurring .
Q: Tell me a time when you knew someone loved you/you loved them?
A: I can think of a recent example during this summer break. I went to visit my grandparents in Poland for 5 weeks and one of my nanny's, she suffers from a Parkinson disease and so she struggles with gaining energy and doing normal day to day tasks and one time during this visit she took me by the hand, so suddenly and unexpectedly and told me she loves me dearly and that she appreciates me so much. She then put all of her heart and time into hand sewing me a ruffle skirt and because I saw the way she was determined, her smile when she was measuring me for the fit, I just knew and will always know that she will always love me unconditionally. That is just one of the times of the love I have received but it would take up too much space in this chapter for me to write them all out so I included the most recent one :)
Q: Where's creativity's place in your life? (ex. art, writing, everywhere, etc.)
A: For the past few months I have struggled with gaining my creativity and so I'm still in the process of figuring out what could work for me. What I do notice is that an empowering YouTube video does stir some creativity in me so I just need to keep on trying.
Q: What's the scariest thing you've done that was totally worth it?
A: I texted my crush and was rejected. I know that sounds like the total opposite of what you would think, I mean is rejection really worth it? But in my case I felt like it was because it allowed me to move on without those regrets of 'what if I did text him?'.
Q: What's something you've done in the past you definitely wouldn't do now?
A: Relying on people too much. Sooner or later, you'll have to learn the right amount of independence and those people will not be with you at every step of the way in your life. Also, I won't believe everything I see and read on the internet.
