#6 | A father's letter

Okay so this isn't inspirational but a humor one. Hopefully this will make you smile or laugh— somehow. And oh, don't take this seriously. 😂✌

My dearest Son,

I am writing slowly because I know that you're a slow reader.

I just wanted you to know that we're now living in the province because I bought a house in here.

But the problem is that I can't give you the address. The former owner took the house number with them so that they won't change their address.

This is a beautiful place son, although it's far from Manila. The rain fell twice this week, sometimes three or four days respectively.

But the commodities here are making me pissed. Like the shampoo I bought, it doesn't produce bubbles. The indication says it's for DRY HAIR so I didn't wet my hair while using it.

I will go back to the grocery store later to complain.

Last day, I can't get inside the house because the lock didn't open. YALE was printed on it. I already lost my voice but still, it failed to unlock.

I will also go to the former owner to complain.

They must be thinking I didn't know that YALE is to shout. I am wise son you know.

I bought a nice jacket and I'm sure that you'll like it. I sent it to you but the charge is a bit high because the buttons were heavy. So I removed it then put inside the pocket instead.

Just put it back once you received the package.

I also sent a cheque for the victims of typhoon, but I didn't sign it because I wanted to be an anonymous donor.

Your brother Jhun has work already. Five hundred people were under him. He's cutting grasses in a memorial park and the salary is good. It's above minimum.

Your sister gave birth already but I didn't know yet if the baby is a boy or a girl. So I can't tell if you're a new uncle or aunt.

One more thing, I planned on visiting you this coming October but I'm quite confused. Isn't Victory Liner, DLTB Liner, and Pascual Liner were transport busses?

How about Panty Liner? Is that also a transport company? If yes, where's their terminal?

Oh I almost forgot to tell you that someone interviewed me. He says that he's from Magandang Buhay. You'll see me on TV soon.

I don't have much news. Write often okay?
