“So, that’s why I’m asking you... Louis William Tomlinson. Will you marry me please?”

The black box in both my hands was open and exposing the ring – but because I was shuddering so much (thanks to my nervousness) it couldn’t stand still. Louis seemed speechless and in this very few seconds he didn’t say a word I was imagining every possible answer...

1) Louis threw his head back and laughed. He even held his stomach because he was laughing so hard and his eyes were teary. He looked at me with a humorous expression. “Me? Marry you?! You’ve got to be kidding me!”

2) The smile he had on his face faded away and he breathed out with a sympathic smile. He grabbed me by my wrist to pull me up. “Haz... I really like you... but I thought... being friends was enough. I’m sorry that I need to tell you these words like this now... Oh god, I’m so sorry, Harry. I never knew you loved me so much.”

3) He raised an eyebrow at me and looked down at me. “Harry, have you really thought about this? We can’t get married. No, sorry, but no, I cannot freaking marry you!”

But in reality Louis’ smile grew a little bit and now the tears threatened to fall down his cheeks. His lips opened and everything felt like it was in slow motion as three letters left his mouth – “yes”.

I got up to pull the ring on his finger. For a moment we only stood there – he was admiring the silver ring on his finger and I was only looking at his face. I couldn’t believe how happy he looked. I don’t think I have ever seen him that happy! And it was me who caused this smile!

He finally looked up at me, his ring on his fourth finger but with his other hand he still held onto the ring. “Oh god, Harry... I cannot... I mean... how...? I...”

My smile even grew and I knew my dimples were on full display.

“This was amazing... this entire day... You couldn’t have made it any better,” he said as he slowly found the ability to form complete sentences. “I know this sounds weird now but... oh my god, can I kiss you?”

Shocked I looked at him. “Louis, I just asked you to marry me. And you ask me if you could kiss me?!”

He laughed and wrapped his arms around my waist to pull me close. His lips brushed mine and I could taste the happy tears on his lips. I couldn’t help but feel happier than I ever had – Louis had said yes to marry me. Me. No-one else but me.

He kissed me sweetly and tenderly and I returned the kiss. I couldn’t help but love him even more now, I was overwhelmed by all the feelings I felt right now. My head was working fast but I couldn’t even think straight.

We both pulled back breathlessly. “By the way, I love you too,” Louis smirked.

“Forever,” I smiled and then I smacked my head. “Of course! Give me the ring, please?”

Pouting he gave it to me. “I don’t even had it for five minutes,” he murmured in a posh accent. I turned the ring between my fingers so he could see the signature – Forever Young.

“Oh, god, Harry. Why do I deserve you?” Even more tears were streaming down his face and I hurried to brush them off.

“I could ask you the same.”

“I didn’t put much effort in giving you this promise ring... All I did was preparing a speech. And what did you do? You bought a ring, you engraved something, you rented this beach, you made Niall to prepare the picnic for us... I... I really don’t know what I have done to deserve this.”
