Morning arrived far too soon and the first thing Y/n noticed was the sunlight. A thin golden line slipped through th windows, stretching across the room and slowly pulling her out of sleep. Normally, she would have closed the curtains before going to bed.
Except...
They had never actually gone to bed.
The realization came as she shifted slightly on the sofa. A sharp ache immediately traveled through her shoulders and back. "...Ugh."
Beside her, Yonji let out a low, miserable groan. "My back..."
Y/n opened her eyes and looked over. "Your back too?"
He didn't answer immediately. He was still half asleep, one arm resting over his face as if refusing to acknowledge the existence of morning. "This sofa is terrible."
Y/n slowly sat up, carefully stretching. Her neck protested. "Yesterday it seemed comfortable."
"Yesterday we were wrong."
She glanced at him. "That is a rare admission."
"I'm in pain. I am allowed."
Despite herself, she smiled.
Yonji finally opened his eyes. The sunlight hit him immediately, and he frowned. "Why is it so bright?"
Y/n looked toward the window. "That's called the sun."
That seemed to bother him more than the hangover.
Neither of them moved. The sofa had been uncomfortable enough to make their bodies ache, but standing up sounded like an even worse idea.
Then Y/n looked at him properly and stopped. Yonji's usual appearance was completely gone. His carefully styled green hair was a mess, strands falling loose in every direction. The gel that normally kept every piece perfectly in place had clearly surrendered hours ago. His clothes were wrinkled, his posture was less confident than usual, and his expression carried the unmistakable exhaustion of someone suffering the consequences of his own decisions.
Y/n stared for a second.
Then: "Your hair is terrible."
Yonji immediately looked offended. "What?"
"Your hair."
He reached up, touching it. "It is fine."
"It really isn't."
"My hair is always perfect." he retorted.
"Not today."
He frowned. "You are exaggerating."
Y/n looked at him. "You look like you lost a fight."
