"Lex babe, it's time to go." Cam said from the other side of the door. I was just finishing getting ready.
We had left the hospital a few days ago after having to stay there for a week because of my sitches getting infected, but Ethan had to stay in the NICU until they knew he was going to a hundred percent be okay. Right now Cam and I were going to the store to get some paint and a crib for his nursery.
"Coming!" I yelled before grabbing a jacket and heading out.
"So what colors were you thinking?" Cam asked, once they were at the store and walking through the front entrance.
"Gray with little accents of yellow." I replied while walking over towards the painting supplies.
There was a huge wall of paint samples in every color you could imagine. From bright blues to dark greens there was just so many to choose from. But I already knew the colors I wanted. I've had this room planed out since I first found out I was pregnant. I wanted a medium gray wall with a yellow stripe going all around the room. The furniture would be a nice white color and there would be a big comfy chair in it.
"Are these colors okay Lex?" Cam asked, breaking me out of my thoughts.
He was holding up two samples; the exact shade of yellow and gray that I wanted.
"They're perfect." I smiled at him before walking off to the furniture section while he got the paint into the carriage.
After about another hour in the store I had all the furniture picked out and it was to be delivered to the apartment tomorrow around noon. As for right now me and Cam were at work painting the guest room which has now named the nursery. The gray was done so all we were doing now is painting on the yellow stripe that went around the whole room and we would be finished for today at least.
"Cam once we're done can we visit Ethan?" I asked, hopefully. Nash has been at the hospital with him all day and I feel kind of bad. But he insisted on it so we could get this done.
"Sure babe, I'm just about done here so let's get cleaned up and head out." He replied.

Two weeks later was when the doctor finally cleared Ethan to come home. He was breathing regularly now but the doctor said there is a high possibility that he will develop asthma which wasn't too bad. He's also surprisingly easy and sleeps through the whole night and doesn't seem to cry too much which we are both very grateful for.
"Hey babe." Came spoke into my ear as he turned to face me in bed, wrapping his around around my waist and pulling me close.
"Morning." I replied, letting out a little yawn.
Just then a little cry was heard which wasn't unusual considering it was right around the time they woke up every morning to feed and Change Ethan.
"I got it Lex. Go back to sleep." Cam instructed, slipping out of bed and making sure the covers were completely over me before heading out. Snuggling into the blanket I soon fell back to sleep.
"Lexi. Grier. Get. Up. Right. Now." I was woken up a little while later by someone jumping on the bed.
Opening my eyes I was met with none other than my stupid brother himself.
"What do you want now Nash?" I asked sitting up so he would stop jumping.
"Cam took Ethan to his moms so you and me are going out to lunch now get up and get ready." He demanded, I just rolled my eyes at him before flinging a pillow at his face but getting up anyway to get ready.
I got up and changed into a flowy maroon tank top and a pair of light wash jeans that were a bit snug and made me frown for a second before I heard Nash yelling at me to hurry up.
"Damn chill will you?" I muttered as I walked out of the closet to find Nash laying on the bed looking extremely bored.
"You were taking too long now let's go." He hopped off the bed and left while I went to put on some flip flops and grabbed my phone.
"So where are we going anyway?" I asked as Nash and I walked out of the building and towards his car.
"A place." He simply answered and by that I knew he wasn't going to tell me so it wasn't worth my time trying to get it out of him.
I settled for looking out the window for the drive and listening to the radio quietly in the background. The drive was only around 20 minutes when we pulled up to the airport?
"Nash? What are we doing here? I thought we were going to lunch." I asked extremely confused.
"We are. We just needed to make one quick stop." He responded, turning the car off and getting out.
As we walked in Nash ignored all my questions as the why we were here and continued toward the pick up area.
"Nash seriously who are we getting?" I whined.
"You'll see." He smirked down at me.
"Whatcha guys waiting for?" I heard an all too familiar voice speak up from behind us.
"Hayes!" I turned around and ran into his arms.
"Missed you Lex." He mumbled, hugging me equally as tight.
We heard someone clear their throat and broke apart.
"So you're not going to say hi to your brother? I see how it is." Nash scoffed.
"Shut up stupid I saw you last week when you came home. Now let's go eat I'm starving." Hayes shot back before walking towards the doors.
I laughed before following him to the car and we made our way towards Buffalo Wild Wings. The boys picked the restaurant and not lucky for us it was packed.
"I'll be back in a sec I just need to use the bathroom." I spoke to Nash before making my way over towards it.
To my surprise it was completely empty unlike the main restaurant part. Or at least it was until I was finished at started washing my hands and heard a nasty voice call from behind me.
"Lexi Grier?"
Cams POV
I had gotten back from my moms house with a sleeping Ethan in my arms to any empty apartment and an note explaining as to where they are. So throwing the diper bag on the couch I walked into the nursery and carefully placed Ethan in his crib and put on those little mittens so he couldn't scratch himself before making my way into Lexi and I's shared bedroom.
I turned on the baby monitor incase Ethan woke up then hopped into the bed. Turning to tv on I decided to kill sometime until they got back by watching a few shows on netflix. I guess I had less time than I thought because only about halfway through the third episode I could hear the three siblings come stumbling through the door. A few seconds later an anxious Lexi stepped into the room.
"You okay baby?" I asked, concerned about her as she joined me on the bed.
"Yeah.. Can you just-just hold me for right now?" She asked in a small voice.
"Course." I pulled her so she had her head on my chest.
I made a mental note to ask her about it again later because whatever it was it was clearly bothering her.
