1 We meet / rescue some even stranger people.
(Yes! Give me that! It's my turn, you've had it long enough. Anyway, my life is more exciting. Yes, I know that we all did the same adventure, but my side was more exciting! Shut up and let me narrate.) Stefanie here. Sorry that I couldn't get this recorder from Athen earlier, because she hid it. It was very annoying. Anyway...
Let me just tell you, I would not recommend wormholeing as a form of transportation. It feels like you are being squeezed through a rubber tube that is way too small for yourself, with sand rushing around you, and incoherent voices buzzing around your head. Occasionally, I could hear one of the others shouting something. It was completely dark with the occasional flash of sharp, blue light.
Finally, we emerged on a different terrain. It was barren, with plenty of large craters.
"Venus, where on Earth did you dump us?" I asked.
"Not Earth. The moon."
"Oh, so that's where we are."
"Ya, and my space powers make it so that we can breathe wherever we are."
"Cool. But the thing is, we are out in the middle of nowhere, on a rescue mission, on the moon. Where are we supposed to be?"
"You see that great big building up ahead? That dark mass on the horizon? That's a building. Our heavily armed fortress, to be exact."
"Well, how are we going to get in?"
"Beats me."
"So, since we're on the moon, can't we take some fallen meteors and fasten them into power-enhancing weapons?"
"Well... yes, I suppose that theoretically we could. If someone brought the right material for that. That's actually a good idea, Stefanie."
"Thanks, it's a gift."
"Oh, I'm sure."
"Well," Athen piped up, "I brought a whole bunch of things that you could use. Let's see... I brought a whip, I brought a dagger, throwing knives, and a big katana. Oh! And to get the rocks in, I brought a jewelry - making kit."
"How did you fit so much in that little bag?"
"It's a gift." How dare she mimic me!
"Clearly. Well, Daren, can you go into a crater and grab the shiniest rock that you find in there?"
"Uh, sure, I guess. Would that be the meteor?"
"Should be, yes."
"OK. I guess I should be going then."
He ran off before waiting for a response.
"Well," Venus started, "I suppose that we should start handing out the weapons. I call the throwing knives!"
When we had finished handing them out, Athen had ended up with a dagger. The handle was studded with different gems, and the end was engraved with a strange symbol from the 21st century. It looked like a two fancy letters. I heard those are called initials. The letters where M and K. I ended up with a whip. It was leather with metal spikes at the tip. All along the leather where engravings of feathers. Daren was left with a large katana that would strap across his back. Venus did end up with the throwing knives. They were all made from gold, even the handles. The handles, speaking of which, each had a tear-drop diamond.
"I found a rock!" Daren said as he came in with a rock about the size of a football.
"Good," Venus said as she ran to meet him. "That should be more than enough. Here, give it to me."
