The blissfully breezy fall morning with clouds sprinkled across the sky and leaves crunching beneath Alix's feet would usually bring her joy, but the new town and school leave her unsettled; mangy teenagers shove by the already fragile girl to get to their new classes and see who's in their classes. One peer in particular caught Alix's attention; a tall and lanky dude with a blue and black shaved undercut, with holes in his backpack from burns and patches that are falling off by their seams who smelled vaguely like alcohol and cigarettes.
"Hey! What the fuck, dude?" the girl exclaimed, causing heads to turn at the sudden outburst.
"Fuck off, you bitch and a half", muttered the asswipe of a human being.
Getting up off of the concrete and brushing herself off, trying to think of the best insult that came to mind, realizes that the boy at large had suddenly vanished into the sea of students before she could even think of a rebuttal.
"Man, what the fuck", Alix whispered to herself.
Looking at her transcript with her new classes, she maneuvered her way through the hallways to find her first period, trigonometry.
Entering the almost barren classroom before the summoning bell rang, Alix introduced herself to her teacher, who was balding and shaped like a pear, briefly told the new student to sit down wherever and not to make a ruckus.
Abiding the snooty man's orders she scans the room to see where she'd like to sit; and locks eyes with furrowed brows with the douchebag himself from earlier.
"Gross, you're in here?", breathlessly said the angsty teen with a shit eating grin and fire in his eyes.
'Oh, you've got to be kidding me' she thought to herself.
"I see you've met Judd, I'll be making your assigned seat next to him since you two are already acquainted?", the overworked and underpaid man announced.
"Motherfucker" said Alix under her breath, but was just in earshot to be rewarded with a chortle from Judd.
