Calypso Night Book 1

Chapter 11

AN~ Hello everyone I'm so sorry I didn't update last week I got really busy. So to make up for it I'm gonna post two chapters.

Percy's P.O.V~

After the match, the group, minus Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Sarus, came up and asked me to help them find Cal. I was reluctant but agreed to help them. I lead them to the path back to Hogwarts. I looked ahead and saw Cal a little way ahead. They all started calling to her but everything froze as I watched her hunch over and stumble to the wall and slowly sink down before falling over. Within seconds I was running to her side. It was like slow motion as people ran to help her.

As I got up there I pushed everyone out of my way and picked her up in my arms and held her close.

"Cal. Calypso wake up," I called shaking her slightly.

I looked up and yelled for someone to get her mother or Madam Pomfrey before looking back and holding her close.

Third P.O.V~

Phoebe quickly ran to get Madam Pomfrey and Cassi. Cassi was hooked arm in arm with Nolan and was talking about the match with Pomfrey and a couple of other teachers.

They all looked up when they heard the two matrons' names were being called.

"Madam Pomfrey, auntie it's Calypso. She collapsed and won't wake up." She cried to them before grabbing their hands and pulling them.

Pomfrey, Cassi, and Nolan ran as fast as they could to Calypso. Once there they pushed everyone to the side to see Percy was holding Calypso close to him. But they started to pull her from him triggering him to start fighting trying to get her back.

Nolan quickly grabbed a hold of him and calmed him down while Pomfrey and Cassi checked her over before levitating her to the hospital wing.

After successfully calming Percy down they all ran after Cassi and Pomfrey. When they reached the hospital wing doors, they were wide open and they ran in to see Pomfrey shoving potion after potion down Calypso's throat.

Cassi came up to them and fell into Nolan's arms and sobbed. Ten minutes later Pomfrey came up to them with a grave look on her face.

"What's wrong with her Poppy?" Nolan asked.

"From my scans, she seems to have not been eating much in the past month and she's severely sleep-deprived. And..." She paused.

"And? And what?" Cassi asked, having not been allowed to help.

"And... it seems she has severe depression. Which is most likely causing her to suffer insomnia and is known to make people lose their appetites. She'll probably be in a coma for I don't know how long. I've never seen a case this bad." She explained.

Everyone stood in shock. Percy fell down to his knees, everyone else burst into tears while Cassi ran to Calypso's side. Nolan went to follow until he saw the look on Percy's face. So he went to him and kneeled next to him.

"It's my fault." He whispered.

"No Percy it's not." Nolan tried.

"Yes, it is. I knew she was lying and I never pushed. I should have known and..." He paused "She's in here because I didn't..." He broke.

Nolan hugged the sobbing boy before he pulled him up with him and dragged him to Calypso's side as Cassi sat there holding her daughter's hand. The others followed behind. Nolan sat Percy in the other chair next to Calypso's bed where he immediately grabbed her hand and began to pray.

The others looked at her before they all yelled out "IT'S ALL OUR FAULT!!"

"Now children I assure you, you are not..." Pomfrey started.

"No, it is our fault. I admit it. I haven't talked to her since Halloween." Phoebe cried.

"None of us have." Peter also cried.

"I don't understand. Why?" Cassi asked.

"Because of what she had been hiding from us," Peter said.

"We were

So caught up

In her not telling us

That we completely

Ignored her." The twins cried

"And now she's in a coma." Phoebe cried again.

"That explains it. She wouldn't be in a coma if it had just been no eating and sleeping. She would sleep for a few days but this is something else." Pomfrey said.

"What is it, Poppy?" Cassi begged.

"It's heartbreak. She feels betrayed, saddened, like it's all her fault, the people she loves most no longer care. A broken heart." She explained.

Everyone sat in silence which was broken by the sound of running feet coming into the wing. Sarus came around the corner with Hermione, Harry, Ron, and Hagrid. All of whom froze when they caught sight of Calypso.

Sarus was the first to break and launched himself at his sister screaming for her to forgive him and how much he loved her. Hermione ran to Percy and hugged him as he continued to pray.

The whole wing was filled with sobbing and screams. It was a sad day for the friends and family of Calypso Night.

AN~ So there you have it. Calypso is in a coma. Now I'm not sure any of this would really happen. Thank you for reading the next chapter will be up soon.
