How many times a day do you see a dead body? If you said 1, you'd be saying too many. Lilly saw five to ten a day.
"Why are you always down here, Lilly?" Jack Bertrand walked in with his slightly too white lab coat and his safety goggles placed on his forehead to keep his curly brown hair out of his face. Lilly was caught, sitting on a dissecting table, next to an opened corpse. She had, in her hands, a drawing book along with a black, very very short, drawing pencil. One that had obviously been used way too many times. "You've got some weird necro fetish or something."
She nodded happily.
"So, you are a necrophiliac then? Like, you're bringing this problem out into the open?"
She nodded again, somehow more seductively this time.
"You're a weird one Mr. Grinch..." Jack walked over to the corpse and set his backpack down next to Lilly. He grabbed out a piece of paper attached to a clipboard. "Well, While you're down here, you wanna be my lab assistant?"
Lilly gasped and jumped off of the table and ran up to Jack.
"If I didn't know you any better, I'd say you were some sort of psychopath."
She raised an eyebrow to him and smirked.
"Maybe I don't know you better..." He chuckled and grabbed a box out from under the table and handed it to Lilly. "Gloves?"
She wrinkled her nose at him and ripped the box from his hands. She grabbed two latex articles from the box and slipped her hands easily inside of the gigantic gloves. She held her hands up to her friend and frowned.
"Sorry, Lil' this is my workstation. So, the gloves are for my sized hands. Even though you seem to make it your work space too." He rolled his eyes.
Lilly shrugged.
"Alright, we will be studying the throat today, my little assistant." He handed her the clipboard. "Hold on to this while I cut this open real quick." Jack picked up a shiny silver scapple from a towel, next to him. Lilly watched with awe, as if in slow motion, as he moved the knife to the corpses throat. Like some form of sick sexual pleasure, Lilly's body quaked and goose bumps covered every inch of her body. A sickening smile crossed Lilly's face and she grabbed Jack's arm.
"Whoa, Lilly what are you doing?. Guess I forgot to check if you were squeamish. Sorry. You can look away if you need too." He looked over to see Lilly's disturbed expression. "You ok, Lil'?"
She realized how this looked and quickly changed her expression to one of disgust. She stuck her tongue out and turned her head away from the body. Sadly...
"I guess I didn't think it would bother you, cause you're down here all the time anyway. But, if it's really this disturbing to you, I can do this on my own. The report's supposed to be a one man project anyway."
Damn it damn it damn it... Lost my chance again. Lilly looked up to her friend with an apologetic expression.
"Don't worry about it, Lil'. Being a doctor ain't for everyone." He chuckled. He was such boyfriend material. Lilly knew that and she knew she liked his charming eyes, but for some reason, she would rather see his eyes outside of his head. Lilly realized she'd been staring too long. She nodded and turned around and walked out of the room. "Oh, um... bye... I guess... She's so weird."
---
"Hey bitch, wanna walk on the wild side?" Said some FSS, which was immediately followed up by laughing from all of his groupies.
Lilly simply flipped them off and continued walking to class.
"Hey, Little Mute. I'm talking to you!"
