"Kill me me me!" Peggy stuttered as she looked down at her tax form in front of her. Page after page of useless information that she knew that she would never need. She thought that after getting a doctorate in criminal psychology, she'd be passed such annoyances, but no. That was not the case. Actually, it had made them more constant. Student loans, surgery costs, all of the above. She felt like she was drowning in debt. She could hardly keep up!

Peggy had been through a lot in the last six years. Lots of surgery, lots of classes, lots of job interviews, lots of hiding, lots of lots of lots of things. Things had been busy for poor Peggy. Especially since she was, you know, stabbed in the brain. A series of symptoms that had come up after her attack kind of controlled her life now. Memory loss, speech challenges, sudden bursts of anger and other different things that she didn't really like to discuss. Mostly personal issues. But besides the eyepatch on her face that so ironically matched Sam's, no one could really tell that anything was wrong.

So, yes. Peggy was alive. Nowhere near the same person, but alive nonetheless. How? She asked for protection from the police. Witness protection more accurately. She didn't know it, but she was in some great company of another very strong person who had dealt with a bit of the same. But, of course she had never met that person. Unlike that person though, Peggy decided that she would not be changing her name. Just moving to another location where no one would recognize her. That place was Kansas City, Kansas. The town where nothing ever happends. She finished her degree at Kansas State University and worked in the El Darodo Correctional Facility where she worked criminals through their issues. Where did she get this interest in criminals? Well, a long time ago, she had a roommate in Columbus State University who taught her a little bit about criminal behaivior and ever since then, she needed to understand why. Why was she her roommate? How had she become her friend? Why was she so kind and so cruel at the same time? Why? Thoes kinds of questions bugged Peggy constantly. Come to find out that she escaped just at the right time seeing how her replacment ended up. The police officers who found her body had never seen a murder so graphic. They of course, blamed it on some other killed, but Peggy knew the truth.

Peggy didn't end up all that good at the end of it all, but she definantly got off lucky considering the reality of the situation.

"Baby, it's fine. I'll take a look at them a little later and I'll handle it. You need to go though, you're gonna be late for work." A female voice spoke up from the kitchen.

"I-I-I-I-I knnnnnow. I-I just w-w-wanted to look at the m-male before I w-w-w-wennnnt." Peggy stood up and looked back at her wife who was happily standing at the stove making herself some eggs. She was still wearing her robe and her messy brown hair didn't help, but Peggy saw how beautiful she looked even if no one else did.

"Well, I just don't like when you stress yourself out for no reason. It get's you super worked up for no reason and I just don't need you getting worked up before work. That's like, a conundrum!" She smiled over to Peggy. "And you know how I feel about conundrums."

"F-f-fine. Absolutly n-no conunununundrums." Peggy walked up to her and wrapped her arms around her. "I-I prommmis." The two of them swayed back and forth and Peggy rested her head on her wifes shoulder and stood there for a moment. She breathed in her flowery perfume which immediatly conforted her and then she kissed her on the cheek. "I-I-I love you Sarah. I-I just donnn't w-w-wannnna leave cause I'mmm with you! Annd I like being w-w-with you."

"Well I like being with you too, but you're the one who decided to be the breadwinner around here so, you gotta go to work, baby." Sarah snuggled her head next to Peggy's and she sighed. "Here, how 'bout a compromise. You take a half day and we go to the park and have a picnic at lunch."

Peggy gpt excited and squeesed her wife tightly. "R-r-r-really!"

"Really really." Sarah laughed and pecked Peggy's cheek. "Now go to work, young lady!"
