Chapter 25~ Tomura meets Eri

Kai and Tomura arrived at the base. They walked through the long, confusing hallways. Tomura felt lost in them, but felt a little more comfortable walking next to Kai. They passed by a few henchmen every once in a while, which gave Tomura weird looks, or at least he assumed they were giving him weird looks. It was almost like a maze. He couldn't believe Kai knew where he was going. Tomura made sure to stay close to Kai, just to make sure he wouldn't fall behind, and get lost. "Hey Kai, how do you even know where you're going? It's so confusing." Tomura exclaimed. Kai chuckled a little. "After a while you get use to it." Tomura smiled a little and grabbed onto Kai's arm. Kai looked at him, confused. Tomura just smiled up at him. "I don't wanna risk getting lost." Kai let out a small laugh.

They stopped in front of a door. Kai swung it open, and stepped in. It was dark, and they could hear slight sobbing. Tomura then walked in after him, nervously. Tomura could barely see anything in the room. He heard Kai walk closer to him. "Hey Shiga, i'll wait outside the door." He heard Kai walk out the door, and shut it behind him. "Hello? Um... my names Tomura..." Tomura waited for a response but only got a little whimper. Tomura began to search the walls for a light switch. He finally found one, and turned it on.

He turned back to see a little girl curled up in a bed, crying softly. She had ruby red eyes, and white hair, with a slight hint of blue. "Hey... um are you okay?" Tomura tried to have a comforting tone. The little girl shook her head. Tomura walked over to the bed, cautiously, and sat down. The little girl looked at him, with tears streaming down her cheeks. She looked so terrified. "Hey um... don't worry I won't hurt you." The little girl, sat up a little, and looked at  him. "I just wanted to visit you for a bit." Tomura sighed, thinking he wouldn't be able to get her to talk.

He started to get up, until he heard her speak. "U-um H-hi... Im E-Eri..." Tomura smiled, and held out his hand. "I'm Tomura." Eri smiled a little, tears still dripping down her face. She took his hand and shook it. "Um... so you seem upset..." Eri frowned a little. "I wanna go home..." She started to sob. Tomura brought her into a hug. "Shh it's okay."   Tomura pat her head softly. Kai did this when he would cry, and it always made him feel a little bit better.

Eri finally calmed down, and looked Tomura in the face. "Please... I don't want to be here..." Eri prayed he would save her. "I'm sorry... I can't do that... but I can make sure nobody hurts you." Tomura smiled a little, hoping Eri wouldn't start crying again. "Even
O-Overhaul?" Eri seemed to be absolutely terrified of Kai. Kai is pretty scary sometimes. Tomura nodded, and gave her a hopeful smile. Eri giggled and smiled back. She then hugged Tomura. "Thank you!" 

After hugging for a few minutes, they broke apart. Tomura smiled at her again. Eri started looking a little worried. "Is something wrong?" Eri nodded. "Are you sure that you'll convince them not to hurt me?" Tomura ruffled her hair, and smiled. "Oh course! I'll convince them." Eri looked down a little. "But Overhaul hurts people when they ask for to much... he might hurt you..." Her expression made him feel wanted. She was actually worried about him. People usually never do this. Kai and Eri didn't treat him like some ugly monster, they treated him like an actual human, maybe even more. Kai practically spoiled him.

"Don't worry Eri. He won't hurt me. I promise." Tomura said in a sincere voice, which made Eri feel a little more hopeful. Tomura began to think to himself. 'I really wonder why these people accept me... especially Kai. He's usually rude to everyone... except me. Maybe he's using me for something...' he was interrupted by Eri getting up and grabbing something from a shelf in the corner of the room.

She came back, holding a cat plushie. She handed it to me, and smiled. "Mr. Aizawa gave this to me." I swore I've heard that name before, but then I just decided to shrug it off. "It looks cute." Tomura said, while smiling. Eri giggled a little. "I think it's cute too." Tomura chuckled a little, and handed the cat back to her, before standing up. "I'll be right back. I'll go talk to K-Overhaul now." Eri nodded. Tomura approached the door, and opened it.

He saw Kai talking to one of his henchmen. He walked over to the two quietly. Tomura tugged Kai's sleeve, to get his attention. Kai turned to look at him. "Oh, done already?" Tomura smiled a little "No... but I wanted to ask if you could make the experiments for Eri hurt less..." Kai sighed "No-" Kai saw Tomuras expression change immediately to sadness. Kai sighed, and shoved his hands into his pocket. "I'll see what I can do." Tomura hugged him. "Thank you so much!" Kai blushed, luckily his mask covered most of it. "U-um no problem, Shiga." Tomura smiled up at him. "Alright i'll be talking to Eri some more." Tomura walked back over to the room, and went in.

Kai sighed and turned back to the henchmen, who seemed to be... snickering. "What's so funny?" The henchmen immediately tried to collect himself. "I-it's just that you seem to have taken a liking to Tomura." Kai looked a little confused "And?" The henchmen let out a low chuckle. "You like him, don't you?" Kai blushed at that remark. "That's none of your business! You're lucky you have important information! If you didn't you'd be a stain on the wall!" The henchmen backed a way a little. "Well... you guys look cute together. He might like you too." Kai looked down a little. "Ehh I doubt it." The henchmen looked a little surprised from that. "You must really like him. You never say stuff like that." Kai shrugged. "Are we done here?" The henchmen just ignored that question. "How does he make you feel? Bubbly?" Kai rolled his eyes, and repeated himself, a little louder this time. "Are we done here?" The henchmen sighed. "Yes... but wait! I can help you!" Kai raised his eyebrow. "What's that supposed to mean? I don't need your help." The henchmen mumbled something under his breath before saying "I can give you some advice though." Kai glared at him for a moment, before shrugging. "Alright. Just make it fast." The henchmen nodded and began his little lesson.
