I've always hated hospitals, they smell funny and the people are either crying their pains away, running around like busy ants or just waiting.

When I received the news that my mother was in the hospital, I got here as fast as possible. Nora offered to take me and Alec decided come with us along with Ryan.

When we arrived my father was already there, pacing from one side of the waiting room to the other.

The atmosphere around me is tense. The doctors have yet to informs us of my mothers condition, which left me aggravated and more snappy then usual.

"I'm sure everything is alright." Nora tries to calm me down.

"I know." I snap back.

"Just try to relax, you'll see everything is fine." She tries again.

"I'm relaxed." I glare at her.

"Of course you are. Just keep thinking positively." She smiles tentatively

"I am." I silently tell her to quit it.

"We'll be out of here in no time." She's beginning to get impatient with be.

"I'm hungry." I make a face.
Food... What I'd give for some cookies.
Stop it, Diana, you know you can't eat that stuff.
Chocolate.
Is that drool coming out of my mouth? I wipe it discretely.
No, just my imagination.
I mentally wipe the nonexistent sweat from my forehead.

"I can buy you something from those vending machines, if you'd like." I know that face she's making well. This is my last chance until she gives up and starts to focus her attention somewhere else.

"Does it seem to you, that I want to get fat?" I snap.
I'm not that hungry anyway. I can resist the temptation until I get home.

Nora takes a big breath and turns to Alec. "Do you want some coffee?"

"Sure." He replies with a smile.

They would totally make a good couple. I hope they start dating soon. They're just so cute!
Lately they've been spending a lot of time together, and even though Nora hasn't gone through as many boyfriends as Anne and isn't as experienced, she should give Alec a chance. Not that Anne's a slut or anything, she just likes to keep her options open.
It's safe to say that me and Anne have been shipping them hard for a few weeks.

I see the doctor make his way toward us " Do you have any news? How is she?" My father asks.
Poor doctor... I wouldn't be surprised if some of my fathers saliva was spit at his face.

Nevertheless he pretends not to notice and carries on as if it never happened.
However the little bubble of my fathers DNA near his nose proves the opposite.
"She just got out of surgery and she's stable. She has a broken rib due to the impact against the steering wheel, that caused internal bleeding, she also has a concussion, that was caused by the head being hit against the dashboard, that needed stitches. Because of the concussion shel have to stay under observation for 24 hours until she can be released. She was thrown forward during the collision, so the chest area experienced a high level of force against the seatbelt, which caused bruises. Moreover she has a few scratches on her face that also required stitches. She's a little confused and will feel some pain and discomfort for the next couple of weeks, but she will be just fine."
