"That was a good movie," Hoseok spoke as he swung Taehyung's and his hand back and forth. "We should watch it again sometime.."
"Yeah we really should." Taehyung mumbled, smiling shyly at the ground.
A bench. Taehyung was exhausted so he tugged Hoseok towards the bench underneath the tree tops and in front of the sparkling lake. "I wish I were a tree." Taehyung said while rubbing his own kneecaps.
Hoseok bit his lip to hold back laughter. "Why?" Hoseok muttered, a wheeze slipped from his mouth, making Taehyung jump a little at the sudden sound.
"It's not funny!" Taehyung said while smiling a little, suddenly he punched Hoseok's shoulder.
"What was that for?" Hoseok whined as he gripped his shoulder dramatically.
"I-i'm s-sorry" taehyung said, flinching when hoseok went to ruffle his hair.
"Chill out Tae, why are you freaking out?" Hoseok said, removing his hand from Taehyung's ruffled up locks.
"Sorry I didn't mean too, it's just a uh.. reflex you know, I'm sure everyone h-has it... Uh..." Taehyung wandered off, drifting off into his own mind space.
"Tae?" Hoseok said, shaking Taehyung's shoulder slightly in attempt to get back his attention.
______
Jungkook walked down the side walk, watching his own two feet never leave the ground as he walked.
To Jungkook's luck, it started to drizzle, making the air sticky and humid. "Great.." jungkook mumbled, putting his hoodie over his head.
Jungkook looked out at the sparkling lake, watching as the moons reflection turned into thousands of ripples. Jungkook decided to walk out onto the balcony to put his feet in the water, only to be distracted by a familiar voice.
Taehyung, , , and Hoseok?
Jungkook turned his head, seeing two familiar boys sitting on a nearby bench. Taehyung looked so beautiful with the moons light making his hair turn a lighter shade of blonde, his eyes sparkled as he let out that unique laughter of his, his silky, sun kissed skin looked ethereal.
Jungkook had a unbearable urge to just walk over there, it's like they were friends who haven't seen each other in years, but his feet stayed in the lake water. All he could do was listen to Taehyung's laughter and realize that their relationship will forever be different. Jungkook can't have taehyung back, what if they never speak again? So many what ifs, but there's one what if that's always on Jungkook's mind, what if Taehyung still loves him?
Suddenly that heavenly sound was gone, same with the two boys who were once on that nearby bench. This worried jungkook, but when he turned his head, the two were walking away while holding hands.
.. ?
Jungkook pulled his feet out of the cold water, letting them dry before putting his socks and shoes back on. He wanted to go back home and just sleep, that's really all he could do nowadays. No more date nights, no more movie marathons, no more cuddling or bingewatching Shane Dawson, all of it was over, just a memory that jungkook couldn't get off his mind.
Jungkook also had something else in mind, he could just drain his sorrows in alcohol? Yes. That sounds like a good idea.
_____
"One bottle of whiskey please." Jungkook said, handing the older man his ID.
"Here you go sir." The man said before walking away.
It was going to be a long night.
