Siphon

Chapter 3

                                                                                              Ruby

After leaving Ziva's world and saying thank you and bye to her parents, us three went back to my house. The house where Grammie Anne was taken and the house that was completely utterly destroyed. "What time is it?" I ask. "The same time we left to my world." Ziva answered. I look at her puzzled. "When we are in my world, time in this world stands still. It complicated and I am not totally sure how it works." she answered. "I just... I don't know what to do." I said and sat down on the porch steps. "What do you mean?" Caspian asked me. "What do I mean? Were you not there when I got these big ass bombshells dropped on me all at once back there? I mean I am only a teenager, that just got my witch powers under controlled. Then, to have this new power start to emerge and I am the only one to basically save both worlds and everybody from my evil aunt. On top of that to find out that my mortal enemy is my cousin and that my best friend hooked up with her over summer. Also, that both my best friends lied to me about who they were." I said frustrated.

" Do I continue to go to school? Like of course I have to save Grammie Anne from evil aunt Amara. But I don't know how to do that, when I don't even understand this power at all." I said. "That is understandable. Help you have to help you. Don't you forget that girl." Ziva said to me. "Well I think you should continue school, keep Amara off our trail. You could befriend you new cousin to be closer to Amara." Caspian said. "Oh I have better idea.." I said with a smirk. "Oh boy. I recognize that face." Ziva said and then chuckled. "It is time for Caspian to rekindle an old flame and become the boyfriend." I said to him.

"Isn't that a little cruel?" he asked me. "You wanna talk about cruel? It is was more cruel what she did to me last year, it was cruel of you to hook up her after we all agreed to hate her and then lie to me about it. It was also cruel of her family to basically destroy mine. I don't care if it cruel, its called justice." I said to him. "What if she ends really liking me?" he asked. "Why are you so keen on her?" I asked. "Because you aren't keen of me!!" he yells. "What?" I ask. His face got all and his eyes widen and he just darts into my house.

"Caspian come back here!" I yell to him. No response. I can feel the anger building up inside me and I just scream, "CASPIAN GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE NOW!". The wind startled rustle softly and the became faster, then Caspian comes flying out one of the windows and slams into my black fence, obliterating it into smithereens. "Caspian!" I yell in concern and run over to him. "Are you okay?" I ask. He sits, coughs and says, "yea I think so". He looks up into my eyes and I can the fear in them of me. "If that was me, I'm sorry. I didn't know that I could do that." I told him and hugged him. "Its part of the siphon power. It enhances the powers you already have." Ziva said to me.

"So I truly am the most powerful I have been in a long time." I say softly to myself but Ziva hears it and says, "You are the most powerful being in this universe". I stand up and can feel all the blood rushing away from my brain and start to get light headed and tumble to the ground, then pass out.

"Ruby!" Caspian yells and scoots over to her. "It is the Siphon power. Since she is not use it's magnitude, the first couple of times she uses the power she is gonna pass out." I tell him. There is so much danger to Ruby having this power. Ever since I found I was sent to her to be her guardian, I have done much research on this power. I don't know if I should tell her the whole thing, where we lose each other and she dies saving both worlds. She is my best friend it my job to protect and tell her the truth. I don't know which job to chose: protection or truth. "We need to get her to a safe place, nightfall is coming." Caspian said. "Take her to your trailer, I will get stuff from her house." I told him.
