Chapter Eighteen

"Hyungwon-ah..."
Minhyuk whispered painfully looking over at the person sitting on the bed.
He sat down beside Hyungwon, putting his arm around him in hopes that it can send some comfort.

Hyungwon felt his touch and heard his voice but didn't made any response to any of it. He just stared into space while his right hand clutching a piece of paper.

Both of them sat there quietly for a few minutes. No words run out of their mouth. Hyungwon was only staring a head of him, looking like he's dead from the inside while Minhyuk rub circles on his back as he watches Hyungwon's tear strained face.

" Minhyuk-ah..." Hyungwon finally decided to talk, calling Minhyuk's attention with his tired and hoarse voice. Minhyuk hum, telling Hyungwon that he was listening.

"Why does everyone leaves me?" Hyungwon asked, one single tear falling down from his eye. Creating a new scalp on his cheek. "Dad left, Mom left and now even Hoseok left.... Why all the important ones? Why?"

Minhyuk didn't know what to respond. His heart clenching tightly to every word that goes out of Hyungwon's mouth.

"Hyungwon-ah..." Minhyuk breath out carefully, sounding a bit helpless. Still not knowing what words to say to his best friend.

Slowly Hyungwon turned his head to fully look at Minhyuk's face. The taller searched the latter's eyes first before talking again.

" Minhyuk, will you leave me in the end too?"  He asked, another set of tears pooling in his eyes. He was on the verge of crying again as he looked at Minhyuk.
"You're the only one I have now, will you leave me too when you get tired of me? I know I did a lot of mistakes and I'm never good enough. I have faults but... but"

He wasn't able to finish his rumblings because Minhyuk shush him.

"No"

Minhyuk whispered to him, shaking  his head, he pulled Hyungwon and hugged him tightly. "No, no... Of course I won't leave you... Never" Minhyuk answered him, sincerity and truthfulness was clear in his voice.

"But what if you have found out something? ... What if I tell you something that I had kept from you.. From everyone...? " Hyungwon questioned again.

Minhyuk moved away from the hugged, he cupped Hyungwon's face in  his hands. He looked into Hyungwon's big, fragile and teary eyes.

" Hyungwon listen, I will never leave you. I'll always be by your side. No matter what happen, no matter what you do, what you feel, what you say... I never leave no matter what. I don't care about your mistakes, your faults, flaws. I don't care about all the wrong things about you. I've been by your side for the longest of time, I know you inside and out. I admit there might be a few things I'm not aware about you but I'm always open to learn it. I'm always open to accept it, to accept you. " He said seriously as he stare at Hyungwon's eyes. He had just poured out all his feelings, he wouldn't be surprised if Hyungwon figure out how he felt about him at this moment. He didn't care though, at this very time he didn't care to be find out by Hyungwon. The man is doubting himself again and Minhyuk wanted to make him realize that he is amazing and anyone who hurts him are stupid because he is everything. He might not be perfect but he is nearly close into being one.

Hyungwon looked away from him, he opened the crumpled paper he had been clutching. It was a letter, he read it over again his eyes traveling to every words written on it.

Minhyuk didn't know what was written, he can't read it from his position but there's one thing he knew. He knows who gave that letter to Hyungwon. Wonho, he knows the letter came from him. He suppress the urge to sigh, scared that Hyungwon might misunderstand the gesture.
