"Wow Hyung, you look like death" Minhyuk heard his younger brother Minkyun said, when he went to the dinning for breakfast. He ignored him and took a seat feeling like he wants to throw up. He doesn't have the appetite to eat and the energy to do anything. He felt lifeless.
Minkyun gave him a small stranged out look. He find his Hyung's lack of reaction odd. The older usually shot him his own comeback, whether it was a funny or a lame one. If he's not in the mood, the older will probably have him an unamused frown or even give a small glare. He always get a reaction from his Hyung, today however he received none.
"Why are you still not dressed? Don't you have work today? " He heard his mother asked Minhyuk not noticing anything odd about him yet.
"Oh... And is Hyungwon still asleep?" She fondly added with a soft smile, completely unaware of what had happened the day before.Minhyuk felt his eyes sting, a wave of pain and grief surge through his heart once again after hearing the name being mentioned. He felt like he can't breath. His throat felt like it was clogged, preventing him to talk.
It took him quite awhile before he answered the question.
"He... He's not... here...." He said silently, his voice cracked and he felt like all his energy drained just by saying those words out loud. His mother quickly noticed his devastated state upon hearing the obvious pain and weakness in his voice, she properly gave him a good look and saw how he looked. His eyes were all red and puffy. Like he spent crying his eyes out the night before, which he did. His hair was disheveled and if you look close enough you can see his tear strained face. She quickly grew worried, sliding her hand to gently hold Minhyuk's that was left laying on the table.
"Is something wrong? Are you alright? " She asked worriedly, despite knowing he is far from being okay. Minhyuk keep his mouth shut, unable to give an answer.
Everyone in the table was looking at him, expecting him to answer the question. Even his father who had not taken a glance at him when he had sat down, set his cup of coffee down to look at him.
"Did you and Hyungwon fight?" Minhee asked Minhyuk after not receiving an answer to her previous question. Minhyuk gulped, trying to surpress the upcoming cry that was about to get out of his throat. His eyes grew teary but he tried not to shed his tears.
" It's... Cancelled " He muttered out, sounding so lifeless. It was so hard for him to even think of the words, what more to utter it out loud. It broke him, it broke all the remaining pieces of his already broken heart. Reality of the fact that he lost Hyungwon slapped him like the way it did the day before. But this time it was more painful.
Minhee and his younger brother momentarily shared a look of confusion. One of them was about to question what was Minhyuk was talking about but the latter beat them into talking.
"The wedding's cancelled." Those words shock both Minhee and Minkyun. The wedding was in two days, they don't understand why Minhyuk was suddenly saying it was cancelled.
"That's good, it's nice that you finally realized it while it's early" Jae Nam said, making his wife and youngest son to whipped their heads towards him. Minhyuk remained staring at his plate, still trying hard not to let a tear escape from his eyes.
"You know all of it was ridiculous, you better off marrying Shein..."
Minhyuk stood up from his chair making his father stop talking. He threw him a dirty look before exiting the dinning room and almost run up to his own room. He shouldn't have gone down there. It was a bad idea, he didn't even know why he thought it will be good. Of course his father will be happy about his situation, he didn't liked Hyungwon for him.
