[Name] scouted ahead to make sure nothing was going on. Sal watched as her beautiful crystal wings spread over a large span of land creating a shadow.
Her beauty was something he would have never thought existed. He watched her a few more minutes before another question popped in his mind. She said she was one of the four dragons that protected the world. Where were these other dragons? How come no one had ever heard of them? What did they do?
One question turned into three then three to five. Sal had to shake his head to clear these questions before they bothered him.
[Name] landed in front of Sal and Sal halted his horse and walked around her to see what was going on.
A wagon of bandits was traveling down the road towards them. Sal slowly started to trot by them before the bandits tried to jump on him and steal his armor.[Name] roared and stomped on who seemed to be the leader of the group.
"I will not hesitate to crush all of you! You low life beings, stealing from others only to benefit yourself? What are you trying to prove? What life are you wanting to live once Agthrith takes your life?"
This small speech made the bandits look at each other and laugh. One walked up and poked at [Name] saying that this was a good costume that that the person playing around could drop the act.
This pissed her off and she bit and crushed the two beings within her reach. Blood ruined her golden scales and her pearl white teeth. Her foot was also covered in blood from the small human body she stomped on.
The others dropped everything and ran.
Sal looked over and saw that she was calming down before he dismounted and hugged her ankle. She flinched but saw that it was him and relaxed."I saw river nearby, I could clean off there."
Sal nodded and followed the walking beast. She seemed defeated, mad at herself. Sal didn't understand why. Was she not supposed to use violence?
"No, I'm not. I'm supposed to bring good to those who I deem fit for it. Agthrith is the death dragon, he lives west of here. He is the one who controls the fate of everyone."
Sal was shocked and angered. Did he speak out loud? He must have. But some dragon is to blame for his wife's death.
He grabbed his sword and unsheathe it from its hold. He raised it towards the dragon before him and charged at her.
[Name] spread out her wings and flew up above Sal.
He screamed and yelled at her. He threw his sword but [Name] roared sending the sword digging straight into the ground. She landed and walked towards the defeated knight.
She leaned towards him and huffed. Her head snapped back and she threw her head forwards opening her mouth and breathing out a hot breath of fire.Sal's eyes watered and he shut them.
When he opened them he saw himself in third person. His body had been turned into a crystallized structure.
"Your anger shouldn't control you, and you shouldn't be mad at fate. I understand your wife was the reason for our meeting, and I know your angry that my brother is the cause of your family's deaths. But please don't try to kill those who help."
Sal saw that his body was being picked up in the mouth of the dragon and she was flying away with it. He was then transported to the cave to see the [Name] had gently placed his body in a small room full of different peoples bodies.
She was a mass murder.
Sal's hatred raged more and more until he heard a crack.
His statue was breaking from heat.
He continued to have hatred rage through him like a wild fire. The statue broke free and he breathed heavily. He looked around and noticed that the other statues were rocks not humans. He felt stupid and defeated.
He fell to his knees and started tearing off the armor that the dragon had given to him. He didn't want to be here, for the first time after his knight decree he wanted to die.
His wife was dead, the city he lived in was gone. The only person left was his father. He didn't want to return to him. His father didn't want anything to do with him unless he was useful; but then he wanted to use him when he was.
Knowing his father wanted to see him to make a deal was not helping. There was always that small slice of hope that his dad has changed.
All he had now was a dragon that was said to bring good but all she brings is trouble.[comment + or - to decide if I should continue]
