Off to the Restaraunt

Irene quickly gets changed out of the nurse outfit and meets me at the door of the guild. "Sorry to keep you waiting Hiraku-kun" she says panting. "Don't worry, I wasn't waiting long at all". We were going on a huge paying job that involved a little bit of work but something simple like waiting for a girl to get dressed (Irene was actually pretty fast) could happen.

"Oh, wait, I forgot my money. Sorry, I have to get a few" she pats at all of her pockets and stops with a stressed look in her eyes. "Clothes too, just in case we stay there long. Not to mention some food and-"

I take one step closer to her and she freezes. "Sorry, I was so un-prepared because I didn't think you would say yes. And even if you did I didn't think that you would say yes right away. Gah, I'm sorry, I sound like I'm blaming you." words are coming out of her mouth a mile a minute but the tone of her voice was still steady and, you can guess, apologetic.

"Don't worry about money or clothes or keeping me waiting. We could figure out on the way right?" I reassure her. But the look on her face doesn't go away. She still looked anxious about the whole thing but it was clear she really wanted to go at the same time.

"But..." She whispers. I lean closer to her and she gets even more still. "I also borrowed some money from Akira" I added. Although I didn't exactly "borrow" it, I was going to pay her back if she ever noticed that a few thousand jewel was gone.

"Hiraku-kun, you'll pay her back right?"

"Yeah! Of course! Let's go!"

"S-sure"

Not the kind of response I was hoping but still a reason to get her out of her worrying. We both begin to run out until a voice summons back. "IRENE!" That certain voice echoes which makes both of us pause.

Orion...

I don't dare to look back but for him to start talking again one of us would have to turn back. I could hear her feet shuffle back. Silence...

"Keep your promise..." my brother said a lot more quietly. I turn my back just to see the blue haired girl nod calmly back at him and then turn back again to walk pass me. "Let's go! Hiraku-kun!" She calls with enthusiasm

We got on a train on the city that costed 250 a ticket for the both of us. One of those cool first class trains that served a slice of cake or a cup of tea for an additional 400 or something unreasonable like that.

There was no conversation between us during the train ride. Just the occasional "would you like anything" that we asked each other. She went out of her way to look out of the window instead of me even when I asked her if she wanted any overpriced refreshments

For entertainment I tried to sculpt a black hydra with my magic. The train was very steady so it would be a great place to practice. That was until kids started running and bumped into the table and made me shatter it. They apologized and I forgave, nothing too irregular. Not like I'd make a perfect Hydra there, let alone mess up a kids day for bumping into a stranger

I let Irene get out first and the driver stares at her. When I follow the man demands a tip with his hands for the trains service. My reluctance gets the best of me and I rudely stuff some coins into his breast pocket and walk out where Irene is waiting for me standing next to a bench

"I'm sorry about the train" she apologized. I kinda felt bad about how much she beat herself up and apologized. Hell, I was the one who thought of the train and she was the one who was saying sorry.
"Nah, it's okay, I thought of the train, remember?" She nods and we begin to walk around like tourists holding a map.

Didn't we see this street already, I constantly think until we don't see that street again. By then, both of us knew we were lost. Irene chuckles and folds the map. "We're lost..." She said in defeat. "I'm sorr-". "Shuddup" I said cutting her off.
