Fall Back!

Hiraku's POV

Shit. This wasn't going anywhere. And even when it is going somewhere, it would be traveling to a place where I could no longer reach victory. Sure, where you are it probably sounds majestic and poetic. But to me, blood spewing out of every cut I had on my body, being so tired that I could probably collapse or fall dead at anytime. Yeah I'm not in the best position after I just had a fight with a cosmic god and a crazy psychic

"Come at me!" Akira yells fighting strong. After being boiled like a lobster she has quite the spirit, she hasn't changed at all. "Water!" Irene yells charging after her target. Jeez, was I the only one having a hard time?

Even though she wasn't as fatigued as me, Erza Scarlet was panting hard. There were some minor cuts on her body delt by me and some armor shattered due to obsidian edges. Compared to me that was nothing. I felt dead, a dead man standing on the last nerves in my legs.

The next thing I know my leg slips. I fall forward, but the last thing I could feel before hanging on nothing but a cold steel handle was a sharp, cold, rod sliding through my right shoulder. Just after where my magic arm ended. A warm liquid leaked out of the fresh wound, blood...

"Why did you come here?" I asked her. No answer... "Tell me one fucking reason why you people. My Idols. Would come here and take our happiness and hurt our people". Still no answer. But I remember getting a vibe of guilt around her. "If it's about what Akito and Uzo did to the guild for it's reputation I'm sorry! But Black Hydra ain't like that now, and won't ever be again"

I grabbed her blade with my left hand, the blade pierces through the skin but I don't care, I just needed ths message to get across. "This is a place for people to work, to bond, to feel accepted like family. Not for people to mistreat each other and other people around them. I'd be more than willing to die to get this message through your head"

Finally she takes the blade out of my shoulder and I fall to my knees. I thought death was close for me. Hell, I thought my head would be rolling in half a second. Instead she says "look at me'. Terrified, I look up and she stands above me like some Goddess of war. "You remind me of myself from not too long ago. Reckless, willing to throw your life away, the life that others gafe to you. I know you know what I mean" The sword fades into light and she gets to a knee. "A certain man told me that you don't die for your friends. You live for them. And after that I realized if you threw your life away for them, you'd hurt your friends a lot more than you could ever help!"

I look down after that speech. That was true, even if some people didn't act like it, people would care if I died. Orion, Akira, Irene, Savin. Damn, where would they be if all of them had to see another death in their lives. "Thank you, Erza Scarlet' I say. I get off of my knees and stand up once again. "I'll keep that in mind, but right now, the best thing I could do for my buddies at Black Hydra is fight for them, I won't die!" She smiled at me. "Same for you, Hiraku Ghiest"

"It looked like you were having a wet dream or something" A voice says. At first I think it's Akira, it's something she would say. But the voice was too masculine. "Go-ro?" I ask. I turn to the right and a recognizable man is sitting to the edge of my bed. "Yo" he said.

"Hey, where you've been man?'

"Pfft, jackass, you almost die and the first thing you ask is how I'm doing?" heh. Goro is a rough lover. Don't get me wrong, he's got one of the biggest hearts of guys I've ever met. He just hides it behind how much of a douche he is. "Yeah... You heard?"

"Yup, Irene-tan told me everything!" He presses his hands together and holds them to his heart. His eyes look really distant and I could see him chant Irene's name. "She's so observational don't you think?"

"It's observant..."

"Irene is so observational it's cute!" I mentally facepalm and throw myself back on the bed. The last time I rested on one of these was when I lost my arm. Just thinking about the time gave me bad memories

"So Irene told you about everything? Starting from me and Akira's fight? Me and Akira against the strongest wizard in the guild?"

"Nah. Just stuff about you getting into a fight with Fairy Tail people and collapsing from blood loss when you got to the guild. You're damn lucky to have an irresistible girl on you like that"

"Heh. It ain't like that. I gotta check in with everybody. Make sure they know I'm still alive" I rise from the bed and put both of my legs down. "If you die falling down the stairs it isn't on me" he said

I grab my half sleeved coat from a nearby coat rack an walk down. "You should come down too. It been awhile since we've seen you here". He ignores me and looks away

With a short eye roll I go down the stairs. What was his problem?

"Hey everybody!" I called out. The first thing I was doing was cracking my shoulder. The uncut one. My feet echo on each step I take and that's when realization hits me. My footsteps were echoing... The place was empty

"Yo. Surprised you're still in one piece" Akira said while waving to me. "Yeah. Where is everybody?" I asked her. She sighs and Savin drying a glass makes a squeaking noise. "We haven't found Seishin after the Fairy Tail incident. Everybody's looking for her"

"Even Orion?"

"Yeah. I don't think it's for the sake of getting a piece of ass afterwards but he looked concerned"

"Makes sense. He looks at every member like his kid." Savin waves his arm at us to remind us that he's there. "But isn't Seishin older than him?" Akira asks. I wouldn't know, I forgot she was a member.

We talk a little more after that. About the request that she took an how she that could pay rent for another year if she wanted to use it on that. I fanboyed a little bit about Fairy Tail a little too hard since I just saw them. She told me about Goro and where he's been.

It felt peaceful for a moment. Until Goro broke through the door terrified. "Hikaru! Open the door!"

"Get my damn name right first!"

"No! Seriously! Open the fucking door! It's Seishin!"
