The cabin door slams, and I jolt up from my bed. Brooke races into the room, and she sits down on her bed. She buries her head into her hands, and I sigh. Sloane and Montana start to wake up.
"Make sure she's okay. I'm gonna get the guys." I state as I slip on my shoes.
Sloane groans in response as she turns over in her bed. Montana nods her head sheepishly, and I tug my jacket over my body. I reach over for a flashlight laying against the table near the front of the cabin. I then make my way to the back of the cabin, and I unlock the door before slipping out of it. Thankfully the rain died down.
I walk along the dampened dirt path to the boys' cabin, and the sound of my shoes squishing fills my ears as I shine the flashlight ahead of me. I approach the wooden door of their cabin, and I knock quietly. When there's no answer, I knock again with more force. I hear footsteps fumbling on the other side of the door. It then creaks open, and I greet Trevor with a raise of my eyebrow.
"Hey, Mandy. What's going on?" He voices quietly as he closes the door behind him.
I peer into the crack of the door to see light illuminating from within the cabin, and indistinct murmuring can be heard.
"What are you guys doing?" I fix my gaze back on to Trevor.
He scoffs. I shake my head to focus on why I have come over here in the first place.
"Doesn't matter." I dismiss with a wave of my hand. "I think something happened to Brooke. She's wiggin' out pretty bad."
Trevor sighs, and he opens the door to reveal Ray snorting coke off of a bedside table.
"Really?" I whisper in annoyance.
"Boys," Trevor calls back to them. "Wrap up this party. We're moving."
The guys scurry to grab beer cans and bottles before joining Trevor at his side. I watch with an amused expression.
"Mandy," Chet calls out as he sees me. "What a nice surprise."
"Yeah." I say quickly. "Let's go."
The guys follow me back to the girls' cabin. I don't involve myself with the conversation, though, as I hear them laugh and increase their volume of which they speak. I simply roll my eyes as we get closer to the red wooden exterior.
I open the back door, and the guys pile in after the other. Brooke looks up, and she begins to tell all of us what happened. She claims Mr. Jingles called the payphone within the camp to try to scare her or something like that. I wasn't really listening to be honest.
The guys turn on the TV and the news flips on. They then walk over to the cooler and place whatever beers they have within the cold box while each of them take one out for their own enjoyment. I, too, walk towards the cooler and grab a can of beer. The tab hisses as I click it open, and I take a small sip.
"Oh, my God, did you guys just see that?" Brooke voices out, and I turn around to find the brunette finally got up from her bed.
The guys turn around to face the TV, and Chet let's out a chuckle as he realizes what is being shown through technicolor pictures.
"Oh, I love this one." He states as he takes a seat on the couch.
Trevor turns to face Chet. "Oh, this is the-the—"
"'Where's the beef?'" They say in unison as they clink their beer bottles together.
I giggle from their reaction to the silly commercial being played. I notice Sloane and Montana have finally gotten out of bed, too, as both girls walk over to the cooler to grab a beer.
