MY MATE

WEI YING

I was now in my room and Mom was sitting right beside me. My stomach hurts a lot and I felt hot all over. I also started to smell these weird yet delicious smell. A woodsy smell like sandalwood with a hint of tea leaves smell. It was a heavenly smell and it actually calmed me down.

As midnight was coming,
my body began to feel more hotter than usual. Mom couldn't stay with me since my hormones are going to affect both her and her wolf. I was all alone in my room when my window suddenly opened.

A figure came in wearing an all black outfit. I didn't get scared since I smelled that wonderful scent on him. He must be my mate. He walked towards me and then gently he laid down beside me and spooned me. My body started to relax and the unbearable heat I was feeling earlier disappeared.

I soon fell asleep but not before feeling him kiss my left cheek.

I woke up pretty early cause I started to feel funny again. I tried to feel the guy from last night but I was all alone now. My abdomen started to hurt again and I felt like I'm about to puke. I quickly stood up and went to the bathroom.

I puke the remaining food I have and flush the toilet. My knees buckled as I felt so weak. I slid down the floor and cradled myself in a fetus position.

Soon I heard my door open and Mom came into view along with Xue Yang. They both hurriedly went towards me and help me get back to my bed.

'Mother this can't go on he can't make it. He's heat is far more intense than ours. His weaker than us mother, he might not make it if his mate does not mate with him or at least stay with him until his heat is over.' Xue Yang said worriedly. I silently cried not because of the pain but because my mate wasn't there to comfort me at all.

It makes me feel jealous of Yunlan and Xue Yang. Both of them found their mates already while I'm still waiting.

Mom brushed my tears away as she hugged me tight. Xue Yang soon joined the hug.

'Don't worry my sweet A-Xian he's coming back and he'll be here in a few hours or days.' I calmed down and soon I passed out as I couldn't take the pain anymore.

I woke up in the Pack hospital, nurses are all around me along with a doctor. They were all panicking around while I laid there motionless. My body felt weak and numb.

'A-Xian please hang on. He's on his way.' Mom said as tears fell from her eyes, Dad was beside her while trying to prevent himself from crying as well.

I couldn't actually get what's happening and why they are crying.

'M-mom.' my voice was small and my throat burns.

Mom looked at me before bursting into more tears. I tried to move but my body isn't cooperating with me. After a while the door suddenly burst open. In came a frantic looking Lan Xichen. He immediately came to my side.

'How's he doing so far?' He asked my Mom.

'Xichen he won't last long. Where is he?'

'He's on his way but got a little delayed because of a girl who's crazily inlove with him.' Lan Xichen caress my face before he suddenly carried me.

'There's no time at all. We have to meet him half way or else.' Mom nodded and the 4 of us are now on our way to another pack.

Mom and I sat at the back of the car. I was lying down and my head was on Mom's lap.

'A-Xian don't ever close your eyes okay. Listen to my voice.' I heard Mom said as I kept looking at the tall trees. LanLan suddenly came into view. He was sitting on my chest and sniffing me. It made me laugh a bit.

We travelled for who knows how long. The only thing in my mind right now is, what's happening to me? Why are they panicking so much? Who's this 'he' that Lan Xichen is talking about?

My abdomen started to hurt again and I feel more hot than ever. My sight started to blur and my hearing isn't working anymore. My eyes were already drooping as I fought it off.

'Hon, please hurry up he's not responding to me anymore.  Hey A-Xian please don't close your eyes baby please don't. Listen to my voice A-Xi....' Mom's voice faded away as my eyes finally closed.

My body that was hot earlier now felt cold. My chest hurts a lot now and I can't breath properly anymore.

Before I could truly embrace darkness a warm feeling suddenly made my body feel giddy again. I smell the same woodsy smell with tea leaves just like last night.

LAN WANGJI

I ran as fast as I can as I heard the news from brother. I immediately left the school.

My mate Wei Ying is in trouble and I can't do anything. I tried to fight against Dad and Uncle but they still sent me to this far away school. I can't even visit Wei Ying for 5 years, well except that night when I secretly went out and stayed with him on the night he was having his first heat.

And his heat is far more crucial and dangerous than the other omegas. It made my wolf anxious knowing his other half is probably suffering right now.

'Wangji stay here for now I'll go check on him from time to time. It's not time yet for you to meet him since his still not shifting. It might force him to shift earlier if you already meet him.' Those were the words my brother told me when I was still in school.

I understand what brother was implying at but I'm still anxious and worried.

Then a few days later the most alarming news came. Wei Ying's body is giving up already. He's so weak now and he might not make it if I don't do something about it.

As I prepared for my departure Lan Xuan, a Beta's daughter stopped me on my tracks. She tried to flirt with me.

'~~Lan Wangji~~. Where are you going my love? Can I come?' She tried to get close to me but I dodge her every single time.

'Stay away from me.' I shoved her and got into my car. But it pissed me off when she also got into my car. Since I don't have time for her stupid tricks I drove off quickly. On our way I saw a car that's pulled over. I quickly recognized the car.

It was Alpha Wei's car. I pulled over as well and that's when the most amazing smell hit me. My mate was in that car. I quickly got out of my car and Lan Xuan followed me closely. She was trying to hold my hand but I avoided her.

'Wangji!' I heard my brother yell. I immediately ran toward them and saw the most heart breaking thing. Wei Ying was lying on the back of the car, his head on Mrs. Wei's lap. He was deathly pale and weak. Eyes close and not moving, his breathing is also unstable and very weak.

I scoop him up and cradled him to me. Soon I started to feel his hearts fast beating. Color was slowly returning to him as his breathing became normal.

'Wangji let's take him back to the Pack now. He still needs medical attention.' I nodded and carried him towards my car as brother followed me. Lan Xuan was about to get in when I push her hard.

'Walk back home.' After I said that I went in gently hugging Wei Ying close to me. He unconsciously nuzzled his face on my neck.
