It was the last day of school before the Christmas holidays.

And I was totally thrilled!

Don't get me wrong, I happen to actually love school. But by school I mostly mean the classes. Except for PE. Whenever I go to PE it feels like I'm going to hell. Because I am.

But what made me so happy about going on holiday, was the fact that I could rest from all the crazy things that happened since school started.

I'm sort of friends with at least 3 of the most popular guys in our school (I'm not quite sure of my position on that), I almost got run over by a motorcycle, went to a party and arrived home unconscious because of eating brownies...

If I said that to someone they would probably start running away from me.

Yup, way too much drama and new things for only the past three months.

In my little crazy brain, the probability of any of those events happening was lower than the one of a zombie apocalypse.

So, yeah. It pretty much messed up my mind. A lot.

At the moment I was calmly arriving at school with Patty. We were in the middle of the hallway passing through the huge crowd of people (it was raining outside again), when out of a sudden a pretty strong arm was wrapped around my shoulder.

I started shaking my shoulders to make the arm go back to the place where it belongs and fortunately succeeded.

I looked left and saw none other than Miss Adam Johnson. I put a small smile on my face. "Hello, Miss. How may I help you..." I then got back to my usual glare. "... make you stay away from me." I said annoyed as I could be. It was the beginning of the morning. Did he want me to be all bubbly and happy and pinky like other girls? I'm not like that! Even when I'm having a good day. So you can only imagine what I'm like after waking up.

Patty slightly hit my arm with her elbow. I gave her a look not quite understanding what she meant with that. Then I noticed that Ben was beside her. Was that guy seriously following Adam everywhere?

Well, Patty and I are best friends and we're always together so I guess it's not that bad.

But then Patty responded with a socialize-a-little-because-I-say-so look. And so I did. Or at least tried.

"What do you guys want?" I asked in the same annoyed tone as before. Adam smirked at Ben. What were they planning now?

"We wanted to know if you two were going to the football match tonight," Ben said. Wait... football match?! I looked at Patty in despair but she just did the same look to me. Great, first a party and now a football match? Nope, not gonna happen!

And that created an awkward silence. How wonderful!
"Well..." Patty replied smiling awkwardly and then looking at back me. What you wanted me to continue your phrase? Girl, you know I can't do that?

"Uhmmmm..." I said. My brain had completely turned off. Whyyyy?! But she kept on doing the face. Patty, I don't know what to say!

So my simple self just did the same look back.

After two seconds I finally said something. "No...?" But I said it really quietly. Because right after that, Patty looked up and firmly said. "Yeah, sure."

And while the two guys started smiling, I just stared at her. My best friend had just disappointed me. Whyyy?!

"Ok, cool. See you at the game then!" Ben replied

"And look out for numbers 9 and 25!" Adam shouted in the middle of the crowd.

When they both left it gave me the perfect opportunity to look at Patty from a better angle. "Why in Jane Austen's name did you do that?! I thought you cared about what I thought! You don't even like football that much! Why did you agree with going to the game?!" I almost yelled at her before I turned my look into a glare. "And if you say that it was because of your shipping plan, I swear I'm gonna strangle you." I said now more quietly.
